I think you should ask yourself very hard whether you are comfortable with yourself yet. You don't seem that way to me.

I think it really depends on what one does - if you were, say, an elementary school teacher it would probably be a very big deal. I used to do social work and worked with kids so I was a lot more private than I am now even...that was 10 years ago though so things may have changed.
