snake bites?  no thank you.  dominant bites?  yes please!

Rayne58 -> RE: spider jar (1/6/2008 4:41:54 PM)

Absolute no no - would be safeword time for me.  I have a spider phobia....and cockroaches....crickets....anything bigger than a fingernail and with more than 4 legs gets to me like you wouldn't believe.  I hyperventilate, my palms sweat, my heart goes a million miles an hour and I feel sick.  Unless you want a screaming hysterical sub, don't even think about it! Najakcharmer -> RE: spider jar (1/6/2008 4:54:06 PM)

I would not be at all comfortable with delicate, easy to injure little creatures in glass enclosures in my playspace. The spiders might get hurt. The kink playspace is separate from the small animal enclosure space for a reason. Spiders are too fragile to use as play toys, and they do not consent to the risk.

Now they are all over at the side nearest you, staring at you with thier beady little eyes.

Staring is okay, it's when they start tapping on the inside of the glass jar that it gets... hairy.

I could not have envisioned it being said any more eloquently.

Naja, this is a prime example of why I like you so much.

Hey, did anyone catch the scene in "return of the king" with shelob?

PsyVamp -> RE: spider jar (1/6/2008 5:14:13 PM)

What about a rat in a wire cage next to you?

slavetaboo -> RE: spider jar (1/6/2008 5:15:40 PM)

I couldn't even finish reading this thread because I was so creeped out from the talk of spiders.
really....really....twisted, something to think about or to try not to think about!

MsBearlee -> RE: spider jar (1/6/2008 5:29:01 PM)

Personally, I catch and release most spiders from my home (though recently I told 'em all: "In my bedroom yer dead.")  A few weeks ago I got yet another (probable) fiddle-back bite; my hand swelled (swole?) up twice it's normal size and the back of my hand turned purple for quite a long time.  I had to use antibiotics (second time for such a bite) AND... when the doc deemed it necessary to swab the damn thing for MRSA and put me on even stronger meds ($30/pill)...I declared war; spiders found in my bedroom become dead spiders.  I warned 'em...and quite frankly, I believe that that's fair.

Still, generally I catch and release; snakes too.  Every spring when I start mowing the grass again, I must move 4-5 snakes from my path.  By summer they're less lethargic and move much faster.  Well...and the grass doesn't grow as fast, so they can't hide so easily.

Putting small animals in a play-space seems to me to be asking for trouble.  I have a lovey and very sweet dog, but I have no idea what he would make of people throwing whips and crying their eyes out.  When I play, he stays outside.  All in all, I believe it is not fair to children or animals to subject them to our...proclivities.

Just me,
Bear

I'd be nice and give them all some crickets.

No, no, no...  I would not want spiders around me, although I can kill them happily since no one else in my house can do it.

Crickets...  no phukking way!  I flipped over the return attached to my desk once because one of those big bastards was under my desk chirping.  I cannot take their noise, and their look, or the fact that you have no idea which direction they are going to jump.  [:o]

That wouldn't bother me. I used to have pet mice and I thnk rats are cute.

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: spider jar (1/6/2008 5:39:32 PM)

Well if it was me you were proposing to scene with, I'd be way too busy kicking your ass for mistreating little living creatures to get much kinky enjoyment out of it.  I guess it could be a punishment scene that involved taking you out of your natural environment, shaking you around until you were stressed nearly to death and then crushing you in the bottom of a trash can under a mass of forty or fifty times your own bodyweight.  [8D]

Lucylastic -> RE: spider jar (1/6/2008 5:53:23 PM)

You might get away with it.......once,
But if you were sensible you would sleep with one eye open for the rest of your life
Spiders any bigger than a dime, earwigs, and those horrible centi/millipedes thingies with the long gazzillion legs,  rats, slugs are a hard limit, oh and wasps I will act like a three year old and call for my mummy
Other bugs, cockroaches, beetles, crickets, are ok
Snakes, mice other critters ,no worries.
Lucy

did i miss the part of this thread where it got serious?  i got the impression that leather posted this as something fun and silly, with  no intentions of harming anyone or anything.  (and please don't take offense leather that i thought it was fun and silly hehe.)

winterlight -> RE: spider jar (1/6/2008 6:07:49 PM)

spiders ... yuck.. the answer is YES!

spider bites can be dangerous. That is why i don't like them. Know somebody bitten by a spider and has died...
