Personaly I love and adore blood play. I have no problems with it, nor does my girl. Mind you she will not allow any one to tie her up on most occasions but she is ok with blood play. Go figure.. she is a very complex creature. I think to most it is the safety measures, and truely knowing the person. There is of course the often mentioned disease factor. I would *never ever* do blood play on someone I was not serious with, had thier medical background, and a year at least of negitive test results with no possible additions in risks. My girl was mine solely and tested every 6 months for 2 years before I ventured into blood play with her. Most people also know very little of the actual safety measures that goes into bloodletting. You dont hand just any one in casual play a scapel, and say cut me. That is not RACK or SSC. I have said it a million times, and I think it bears repeating... any Dom/me who is into edge play of any sort, or percussion play even should have a copy of Grey's Anatomy and know all the places to advoid on the body. Being as that most Dom/mes are self taught and most do not go through an Appenticeship you have to take responsibility to train and teach yourselves. As far as submissives and others having it as a hard limit, I am totaly understanding when they do.. we all have that place we will not, or can not go. I just seriously concider the ones that can just a wee bit more since it is just a large joy of mine. Incidentaly I am much more likely to do blood play with a long term partner then I am to have sexual intercourse.. with the safety measures in place it is far less risky for a number of nasty bugaboos, and I can not get pregnant from having my fun. But then I am not one to have intercourse in general any way. Gwyn
