I installed small eye hooks on the inside of my closet wall and hung everything from them. Anything that can’t be hung is in small mesh bags then hung from hook.  When the cloths are pushed again the wall no one can see a thing. All Master has to do is slid the cloths over and everything is at his finger tips.

Edit because i cant spell

Is the idea here that you don't have lights in your closet and hang things in the dark confines using your sharp sense of smell?

What wonderous things have never entered the imagination of men.

Not only possible, but reasonably common during the building of the Winter Palace, as I recall.
Although, admittedly, they were more inclined to put people on display than to hide them away in a closet, but these are different times.
We can be more accomodating now.

Health,

Just make sure the hook is screwed in a stud.  Then maybe if you're lucky the stud will be screwed into you.

Almost all of my equipment is stuffed into a gigantic duffel bag originally meant for carrying power tools. I transport my toys to different places a lot more often than I need to transport my tools. It works pretty well for that purpose, and so far none of our company has felt the need to go into the office and open up the duffel bag in there. Or even question its contents.

I have a few larger items that are just down in the basement behind a closed door. We rarely have people down in the basement and even when we have (air hockey table is down there), nobody's been rude enough to ask what's behind the closed door. I'd just tell 'em it's unfinished storage, nothing exciting.

Longer term...I dunno. It's the conflicting goals of having things securely stored vs undying curiousity as to what's behind the locked door for anybody else in the house. I've debated sectioning off part of the basement behind a locked, hidden door to deter curious eyes, but there's always the concern that someone may one day figure out that the basement should be a little larger than it actually is. There are a few side nooks in odd places (under the stairs, along the walls on the second floor, etc) that I could potentially crack into to use for storage space, but again - only for the smaller stuff that's now in the duffel bag.

I'll probably end up walling something off. Gives dedicated dungeon space, anyway.

kyraofMists -> RE: For those couples (1/10/2008 7:53:09 AM)

We have a locked spare room in the basement that has all his toys.  When time permits, the room will be made into a dungeon.  The dungeon in his last house was one of my favorite rooms.  It was a place to unwind and forget about the rest of the world.

You're right. ishould go to one of those discount warehouses and buy a 50 pound bag of brocolli, empty it out and put my stuff in there. He wouldn't touch it with a ten foot poll. :)

ghitaPVH -> RE: For those couples (1/10/2008 8:08:12 AM)

all of our toys are kept in duffel bags, makes it easy to transport when we are taking them somewhere. the duffel bag is normally either in the closet or sitting on the floor of our bedroom. Whenever we arent in there, or arent home and the babysitter is home alone with the UMs, our bedrrom door has a hasp lonk on the outside. I have lots more than BDSM toys I need to keep out of the hands of UMs and babysitters. and my mom. who used to constantly walk into my room to "help with the laundry" whenever we left her home alone with the UMs. I know shes seen stuff. its rather embarrassing. Daddy wants me to build him this big bed with eye bolts all over it (we saw one a friend of ours had built, it was awesome I agree, but Im wondering how to hide it. right now the UMs can walk into our room, and they actually spend a good deal of time in there in the evening sometimes, watching TV on the bed with us..and I am not sure Im ready to have one of them traipse off to school and go "mommys got this neat bed with bolts all over it, I want one too!"

I hid the eye bolts in the cieling by hanging lamps from them.

MidnightFoxGirl -> RE: For those couples (1/10/2008 8:08:29 AM)

AlphasPack and I just hide our stuff in the bedside drawer, if there are a lot of toys you can buy a wheeled storage tub that slides under the bed. This seems to work well enough too ^^

DesFIP -> RE: For those couples (1/10/2008 8:40:55 AM)

Most stuff is in a backpack in the closet. Since he has two other backpacks in there with papers, no one would bother to look. The crop is in a laundry bag in the closet which makes it perfectly safe since no one in this house ever volunteers to do laundry except me.

MissMorrigan -> RE: For those couples (1/10/2008 8:49:13 AM)

We have a very large victorian cupboard in our lounge (we live in a converted house) and have applied ring plates to the insides - one either side in the middle, one at each top corner. When the shelving is in place nothing can be seen and also, as far as our wardrobe/dress rail is concerned, a lot can be hidden behind clothes/in boots, etc... Thankfully we have a nice loft for storage also. Smaller items get put in a large box under our bed and no one can get to it unless they have our permission. Larger pieces of furniture, such as the CBT pillory/Bedrack, etc... can be disassembled and stored away should the need arise. We have various ring plates and other devices used for restraint purposes dotted around the flat, but these are concealed by coat hooks (with a coat over the hook to aid with concealment) and everything has a double use (the lounge restraint brackets become an extra washing line should we do any hand washing) [;)]

Where and how do you hide your toys, etc?

Yeah, we pretty much don't.  We have crops and leashes and boxes full of toys kinda hanging out all over the place.  If Elle's parents were to come over we'd try to put the obvious stuff away, but there will always be a paddle or pair of handcuffs that we miss.

All of our friends know what we do...and I think those who don't want to know will just ignore the toys.

Gun cabinet... not a gun safe but a wooden cabinet. It's a display case so i covered the glass in the door with contact paper. It's tall to hold rifles, so i added hooks to the inside walls and inside back for hanging floggers etc. Plus it has a small drawer in the bottom that comes in handy too. Both door and drawer have built in locks. Works great and we picked it up at a yard sale for only $20.00[:D]

also a locking suitcase for misc or for traveling..

Cuffkinks -> RE: For those couples (1/10/2008 9:29:28 AM)

I live by Myself right now, so I don't really have to worry about concealment. My condo is on the small side so I do keep things put away in case of "vanilla" company. I have a closet with a big drawer at the bottom of it. That's where the majority of My BDSM toys are kept. A drawer in the night stand holds a few items as well. When I bought My bedroom set, I bought one specifically with the idea of bondage in mind. The headboard and footboard of My bed are made of sturdy, slotted wood, so no eyebolts or any additions are needed. It's big enough to spread her out nicely, and holds My little girl very secure. I have had a few questions about the inversion table in My living room, but I actually do use it for it's intended purpose...
                                                                                           ...Sometimes. [sm=evil.gif]
The moment I saw it at costco I knew there would be other uses as well.
The one item I always leave out is My crop. It's always leaning against the wall next to My bed. It's always handy and I actually like the visual of it leaning there next to My bed. I have yet to get any questions about it. If I ever do, perhaps I'll just defer them to My little girl.
The blush would be so pretty.

canupleaseme -> RE: For those couples (1/10/2008 9:38:32 AM)

My cage is kept in the cellar top, people dont tend to go in there so so far no question.  Our toys are kept in a chest of drawers and the bottom of the wardrobe.  Door restraints kit under the bed.  Bed retraints onj the bed hidden by the duvet and the [;)]weights bench[;)] is just kept in the bedroom.

MissHarlet -> RE: For those couples (1/10/2008 9:39:44 AM)

I tell landlords and friends and repair persons and anyone the enters my home or might that I do medeival theater .... and leave it at that ... then if they see anythign left out they are free to assume it is a prop ... I have yet to be questioned about anything and have used this "excuse" for years.   People are gullible for the most part .. and any semi rational explanation works most of the time .. if they KNOW more it is usually because they also are in the lifestyle so they dont say anything anyway.

Or, more likely, they just don't care what you do in the privacy of your own home.
