Almost all of my equipment is stuffed into a gigantic duffel bag originally meant for carrying power tools. I transport my toys to different places a lot more often than I need to transport my tools. It works pretty well for that purpose, and so far none of our company has felt the need to go into the office and open up the duffel bag in there. Or even question its contents. I have a few larger items that are just down in the basement behind a closed door. We rarely have people down in the basement and even when we have (air hockey table is down there), nobody's been rude enough to ask what's behind the closed door. I'd just tell 'em it's unfinished storage, nothing exciting. Longer term...I dunno. It's the conflicting goals of having things securely stored vs undying curiousity as to what's behind the locked door for anybody else in the house. I've debated sectioning off part of the basement behind a locked, hidden door to deter curious eyes, but there's always the concern that someone may one day figure out that the basement should be a little larger than it actually is. There are a few side nooks in odd places (under the stairs, along the walls on the second floor, etc) that I could potentially crack into to use for storage space, but again - only for the smaller stuff that's now in the duffel bag. I'll probably end up walling something off. Gives dedicated dungeon space, anyway.
