Heres my collaring ceremony. Daddy and I looked online and ordered the one we want. It came in a box. He opened the box and took out the parts. put it on my neck and told me to go finish dinner cause the UMs were hungry.

Ugg boots are so ugly you say UGGGGGG when you see them.  It's a brand out of Australia, sold in the US as well as elsewhere.  http://shoes.about.com/od/boots/a/ugg.htm

Oh those things?

I guess they look ok on some people, I've definately seen some girls pull them off and I would wear them if it was cold out but I don't particularly care for them.

After a collaring ceremony is there usually a reception or celebraton of some sort? Are there any special foods used? Thanks.

I have escaped, via the divorce route, after two witnessed marriages which were attended by family and friends, and cost some.
I got collared a couple of months ago. i was at His kitchen sink. He said turn around you bitch and put a dog collar (blingy) around my kneck. It got in the way of the attempted asphyxiation that followed somewhat and i got a good cropping for making some flippant remark which i now don't remember even saying.
i then wore it out to a local restaurant even though it clashed somewhat with the rest of what i was wearing. Mostly it went unnoticed by others but we both ate without saying much as the meaning of what had happened took hold. i take it off when it would be inappropriate to look like a dog but the intention behind it, which is that i am His property, will remain for life.

I guess they look ok on some people, I've definitely seen some girls pull them off and I would wear them if it was cold out but I don't particularly care for them.

They look silly and are standard foot-wear for the young 'hip' 20 somethings in LA from Halloween until Easter. Boots, but not appropriate for snow or any inclement weather. Best worn with a VERY short skirt or even better shorts and a belly shirt; while carrying a over-sized Coach purse with the head of a teacup Maltese with a bow in its head sticking out of it. Drive down the promenade on any of the shore towns, especially here in the South Bay, and you'll see many variations of the theme.

Oh and one other thing - They are as overpriced as they are ugly. I'm talking about the boots, but the same thought applies to the dog and the purse.

Yes, on page 432 of the lifestyle handbook there is an entire section on collaring ceremonies and receptions. It contingent on the season. Watercress and cucumber sandwiches are fine for a summer ceremony; however serving them in December would be a faux pas similar to wearing Ugg boots in LA with your short skirt after Easter - Its just NOT done!

If you don't have one; 'One True Way' handbooks are available on Ebay from the NSI (Nigerian Slave Institute). Click on their ad next time you are sending one of the expatriate finance ministers your Banking information.

For me I would rather have it private and as part of a scene, makes it much more personal with deeper meaning and mood involved

Oh. Well if they don't actually keep your feet warm I don't see any point to them.

*climbs to the top of the building and shouts from the rooftop*

Now i'm hesitant to say that this means i will definitely be getting a collar as i never underestimate my ability to fuck things up, especially when things are going good.  But Ma'am has informed me that my collar is being made.  She managed to make me the happiest boy in the world, if Her simply telling me that has made me this corny and cheerful (see new siggie) and weepy; imagine how i'll be when She chooses to bestow the collar upon me.

I also had a book and markers where I made everyone sit and write their own page to us. It was lots of fun.

They definitely are warm and cozy - but they're not for use in wet weather - you'd ruin them.

The collar forus is the same as a wedding ring. So no i am not collered yet. My collar has been  picked out and when my Owner feels it's the right time we will have the ceremony. He hinted that it would be in a year's time so i don't have to wait too much longer. Then eventually we will be married. The ceremony will be small and tasteful with someone very close to me officiating. i am in the process of designing my  collaring dress. It will be very simple yet elegant. i hope that answers your question. :)

Interesting that I should notice this thread tonight, as tomorrow night My girl and I are going to sign our statement of understanding.  It's not a collaring, but we are going to pledge one another to the other.  It's just the two of us, talking, discussing our "new" life with one another and having a meal.

There will be a bit of a ceremony, but that is just a bit of protocol and something that will mean something to both of us.

Make it your own.  Invite as many or as few as you want.  Dance, play, eat, or do nothing at all afterwards.  It's your ceremony so it's your call.

congratulations and have fun.

Storm
