MissHarlet, thank you so much for your very nice comments. It was very thoughtful of you and you are so right, i will remember all of the details of that very special day for as long as i live (or, at least, as long as i have a functioning memory.)

thats why you get the water proof spray
I have the knock offs which have lasted me three years now and are the best snow boots I have ever had.

I'm surprised and pleased to hear the waterproof spray works! My daughter has a great pair but is always cautious about wearing them on any cloudy days b/c she doesn't want to ruin 'em. I'll put that on my shopping list - thanks!

When I first joined the local dungeon I was, in fact, expected to read all this so called "Old Leather" stuff, very boring, babbled on for PAGES with collaring vows! And other stuff. I decided to just become a poseur and pain slut and pitched the handbook.
At my new club in another city, The Bona Fide Old Leather Gay Guys told me nobody would come to that party and I was having my leg pulled, at least. I'm so happy! Now I can be Leather and maybe have a nice cocktail party if I get collared. Or maybe not. But the bowing five times and kissing feet every paragraph just seemed a bit much...

Congratulations to you and your girl. I hope you have many years together.

OP: When I collared pup, we were in my car outside of the mall where we had just picked out his collar. It is a sterling silver necklace that he wears all the time. He also has a work collar, because he can't wear his permanent one, he has a sleep collar and a play collar. There were no fancy words or food there after. It was just him and I, sitting in the quietness of my car on a slightly rainy day. It was perfect.

My feeling is that solemn promises are best made in front of those you love and respect, because private promises are more easily denied. Good food afterwards is a good way to say, 'thanks for coming.' But, whatever, do it your way!
