Status: offline 		Just a relatively inexperienced Dom/Master who would like to hear anyones thoughts on punishment/play ideas. I'm currently codifying a lot of the things I want in a relationship (writing is the best way for me to collect my thoughts on something) and I have accidentally brushed up against a few ideas in postings that I really liked. What are your favorites? Innovate things you've tried?

Status: offline 		For me I never punish with anything that I enjoy or my boy enjoys.  The "I have been bad spank me" thing is fine for play but not punishment in my eye's.  So I would not cane him, spank him, etc.  I have found the best punishments for him is corner time, or having him hold weights in his hands while the arms are stright out repeating "I have disrepected my Daddy and will not do X again" some number of times depending on what he did.  These type of things give him time to thing about what he has done. Not that he needs correction often, but he is a boy (sub) and can run amuck at times.

Non-Lashes have been effective if one likes Lashes .. bind the Sub .. swing the flogger or whip just close enough for them to feel the air move but dont let it touch them .. have them count the lashes ... then leave then hanging there contemplating the fact that they deprived you of the pleasure of giving them the lashes that you enjoy giving.

I don't necessarily agree with this.  Things that are enjoyable like spanking and such, can be made unenjoyable.  Spank the same spot over and over, and do it without any of the loving gropes, suddenly it isn't such a great experience.

Kat knows when we are playing and when we are not.  The exact same activities that have brought her to orgasm, can bring her to sorrowful tears.  A lot has to do with my attitude...and with the technique.

Status: offline 		For play ideas, I highly recommend reading some fiction. Of course, keep reality in mind!

As for punishment, I don't punish. If the behavior made me unhappy or hurt me, I say as much, then try to get to the bottom of it. If the behavior is repeated enough, it will eventually erode the relationship and they will be released.

I agree.  It has less to do with the activity and more to do with Master's unhappiness with me and my disappointment in myself.  The words he uses while spanking in for pleaure vs. for punishment and the mood between us vary greatly.  To have an activity I adore turned into a punishment is very effective indeed.

Status: offline 		In my experience, the idea of verbal punishment depends on how much they care about you.  The more they care about you and want to make you happy, the easier it is to just say "I think what you did was wrong and I do not like it" and have it upset the other person.  If they are new to you and do not really care about you that much than physical punishment such as spanking or whatever you know will work is better, but it will come to be used less and less the more they come to care about you.

I have put him against a wall, his palms pressed against the wall, making him repeat "I will not...." over and over again till even I can't stand to hear the tears in his voice. It is never for MY pleasure to punish him. Knowing that he has disappointed me, is enough to make him literally sick to his stomach.

Status: offline 		Apparently my silence alone is enough punishment for my pet.  I do not incorporate any kind of physical punishments as that is not how I wish to run my relationships.  I do not want someone to not do something because they are afraid of what I will do to them, I would rather have them not disappoint or hurt me because they respect me and my wishes.

Status: offline 		There is nothing about punishment I enjoy. I have only had to correct Angel once time in the 2 years I have had him. He was in a very bad mood and smarted off to me on the phone. We were LD, so the punishment had to be something he did on the phone, and reported back to me about.
For Fox, the few times I have corrected him, the simple fact that I was disappointed has quickly brought him to tears. Even when it was a very minor issue, he was so upset that I was upset that he crumbled. He is getting better about minor correction, but he still takes things badly.

For play, it depends on what sort of things you enjoy... my ideas probably wouldnt do jack for you, assuming you arent into the age play thing. Masochistic play is different, but that depends so much on the pet and not just the owner...

Although my mef'aked came back like ten minutes later (he took a shower... ) to release me and talk about what I learn and other things...

  We're very much the same way. I will say that "play" and "punishment" aren't two words that we put together. Punishment is something that I never enjoy. Master never uses the "You've been bad" routine with me because he doesn't want me to associate the fun stuff with something negative.

That said, I know some couples that have a very active and happy BDSM D/s relationship who engage in the "You've been bad. You deserve a spanking" role play.

Punishment has to be something that lets them know they have done something very wrong, it has to be final swift and sure. If they are into verbal telling them "they have disappointed you, I expected much more than this from you.” Will strike them to the core.
If they are into physical then bind and gag them.
Then be physical until you are just about satisfied, then remove the gag and insist that should this ever happen again a more severe punishment will ensure complete compliance.
As a final punishment remove the collar then destroy it in front of them.
Announcing they are uncollared and are now free to do what they wish else where and are to vacate the premises with in 24 hour or quicker. ( helps if you have their friends standing by to help with the move.)

mind you this is just my opinion

Status: offline 		I'm definitely in the "punishment shouldn't be anything you or your sub enjoys" camp.

The trouble is, being a sadist, I tend to enjoy most things that causes her temporary discomfort, physical or emotionally... with the exception of my disappointment in her.

As a result, I tend to punish myself as well as her when she has let me down. Fitting, really, after all - it's my responsibility to ensure she realizes that there are consequences for not fulfilling obligations, and mine to set realistic ones based on my knowledge of her ability.

Usually this breaks down to cancelling or suspending something we have both been looking forward to. While the temptation to only use things that only she is looking forward to is there, but again, that's my issue, not hers.

It depends on you and your submissive really. If youre not a really that much of a sadist, and she's a masochist, cancelling tonights spanking will not get through nearly as much as if youre both huge fans of the local team, and you cancel your trip to see them will.

Tie your partner naked on her stomach and separate her legs.  Restrain her legs and torso tightly.  Place a vibrator between her legs medium setting.  Start biting her ass and upper thighs. Do this for 30 minutes.  At the end she would be hot, sobing and cumming.
