When i first started going to the Munches, my mother asked me where i was going that night.

You are not really 47, are you?  You can't be...  At 47, you are worried about your mother finding out you went to a munch?  What is she going to do, ground you?  Send you to bed without ice cream?

Im 40, I am very close to my mother. I tell her where I go often, and how long I should be gone. She actually cares where I am and what I do, and it does not make me feel childish that I feel it is appropriate for me to tell her, after all she has been the only person in my life that has been a constant, the only one that I have been able to count on for 40 years. I do not know why you feel that this makes someone immature because they would feel this way. I think it is a person confident in their own maturity that does not need to assert their identity to "prove" how adult they are because they do not have to answer to their parents anymore. I got that identity when I became a mom myself.

P.S. My mom was actually one of two safecalls when I met my Daddy[;)]

Ive called a munch a munch in front of my family before. They asked me "what's a munch" and I said "People online get together for food and drinks. You munch."

Does this make me an adolescent child-woman, too?

If you were to start an entire thread about it, it just might.

Okay maybe Im the only one having a hard time keeping up here but for my sake, lets re-cap.
First, you stated that the problem with the poster is the age vs. degree of investment in what mom and dad think. (See first post.)
Next, you said that the problem you were having was with the fact that this person is clearly a "fake" (player, wannabe, whatever term it was you used) and that was the real gist of your response. Forget all that about age and degree of comfort with mom knowing you like to be tied up. (See response to my post)
Now you are saying that the real and true problem you have with the poster is that she started a thread about letting the word "munch" slip out. (See above.)

Are you indecisive? Have no short-term memory?

Well whatever you finally decide your beef with the OP is, I stand by my response to your posts. Caring what other people, especially the people you care about, think does not make a person immature or a wannabe/fake.

And it is a straw man to say I ever said anything like that.  Take all of the things you said I said in your post and throw them into a pot.  What comes out is "what I think about her stew."  And it smells immature, unintelligent and fake.

It is a combination of what she said, how she said it and where she said it that leads me to my conclusions.  If you don't get that, as many other have, I don't think I can help you.

I just read heather's comments to you...

I do not agree with your estimation about this thread being immature or childish. Many people have posted threads about being outed accidently. I see this thread as no different from any of those.

You dislike the OPer, fine, you think she is a fake, fine. But when you start picking on her posts, you end up picking on all those who have a similar situation as she mentions in them.. if that is what you want to do, by all means, go for it.

She maybe a fake, but in my estimation, others can be fakes or liars or cheat or any other description of person but who cares who she is? She really isn't impacting anyone unless they allow it.

Ok, a 47 year old woman saying the word "Munch" to her mother qualifies as "being outed"?  Yeah, alright...

I don't dislike the OP.  The OP has absolutely no measurable impact on me what-so-ever.  I didn't respond to the OP's second message, nor would I.  I would have let the whole thing drop had I not been questioned further.   People wanted to know why I saw what I, and many others, saw.  So I, to the best of my ability, explained the many layers of my original post.  To whit, I think the OP is either a fake,  intellectually stunted, or both.  My opinion is mostly a gut reaction to what she said, how she said it, and where she said it.  I would never had gone into as much detail had I not been called to the matt.  As it is, I stand by everything I have written.

*sigh* Then lets all agree to disagree and be done with it.

Have I slipped, yes.  But then I either say more or not.  My parents know as much as they want to know and if they ask (at they’re own risk) I answer.

~ Fast Reply - OP:

Yep ...

I was in the dollar store hoping to find a gag "bdsm" gift for a friend for her birthday. I found a large sturdy rubber spatula, and without thinking, tested it on the outside of my thigh. I responded audibly to the nice "thuddy" feel and sound of it much to the (what looked like to me) surprised interest of the guy a few feet down in the isle; ::blushes:: all around thank you very much.  LOL!

<<oopppsss - forgot to add the ~FP~ at the top of the post>>>

justheather -> RE: Have you ever slipped? (1/12/2008 5:07:59 PM)

fullofgrace69 -> RE: Have you ever slipped? (1/12/2008 5:45:41 PM)

at the risk of seeming dumb, whats the OP? its everywhere .... does it just mean opening poster ? or does it have some deeper meaning thankies (and i know its off post but ah well)

KindLadyGrey -> RE: Have you ever slipped? (1/12/2008 6:50:36 PM)

(FR)

Seeing this thread is timely. I had a boy over this past weekend and afterward simply shoved my toys (a paddle and a crop) under a bunch of crap on the desk so they wouldn't be visible. My hubby was cleaning today in anticipation of family visiting and he yelled at me for not putting my toys away and put them at the bottom of the stairs so I would remember to put them away later.

The whole family shows up.

Guess who forgot to put her toys away?

(Nobody said anything, but they couldn't possibly have missed seeing them)

laurell3 -> RE: Have you ever slipped? (1/12/2008 11:03:22 PM)

Once at a work-related gathering with a bunch of very conservative professionals, someone (a friend of mine) referred to some totally conservative sexual practice as kinky and I said...you think that's kinky, I'd hate to be a fly on your bedroom wall, I'd fall asleep.  Which apparently caused some gossip and a male collegue to approach me for a date, which I declined.  I have caught myself several times from saying things I shouldn't though.

TheLookingGirl -> RE: Have you ever slipped? (1/12/2008 11:42:27 PM)

I love all the stories (except the drama that messed up the whole point of this thread) that have been posted here. I don't have anything major to tell other than I've had some really funny moments while "playing" with others. Holding back these funny stories from people who would normally laugh at them...if they wern't distracted by the kinky sex involved....is so hard. And have on more than one occasion started a story then realized who I was telling....and had to turn it into something else because of this.
