Re: Pretty ... meaning pleasing to the eye. Ok, it is VERY subjective !. Somewhere between plain, and drop dead georgeous. I think many can equate to that, but point taken from the flames, albeit Hydrogen ones ... which are cooler than "gas" ones.

As to mail deleted unread, its just one of those things.
See if they had read it and not responded you'd now be worrying about the content of your mail to them too. Id just count your blessings that you have one less worry

Do not change the word pretty on you profile. If you believe yourself to be pretty put it on there. So what if someone doesn't think you're pretty- the fact is you do.

Most people are simply not interested. And since you're in Ireland...you may be too far. Start locally yourself.

I looked at your profile. Ho hum. is there NOTHING interesting in your life? Nothing creative? Nothing exciting? Geez.

This is a website where people want to get to know each other.
- writing on the message boards
- chatting in the chat rooms
- writing some realistic journals entries about your life
- making your profile ... well... interesting would be a start.

Nobody knows you from borscht here. Nothing in the least to spark an interest either from what you have written. I mean, what makes you feel alive or brings you passion? Do you have a personality? We can't see it from what you have written.

I sometimes check out people's profiles without it showing up that I'm looking, so just because you don't know they are looking doesn't mean they aren't. Vee have our vays....

If you don't tell us anything that would give us a reason to say "hmmmm, who is this guy?" then don't expect us to say it.

My late husband was from the same area in Texas as Bush and pronounced "American" in the same way. A dialect does not equate an "uneducated cretin".

First of all OP

As a fellow irish person let me say Dude kudos on not following the whole british * fully clothed lights off hotwater bottle between us * concept of sex our country was brought up on

Second the pretty line at the top of the profile... maybe not a good thing... someone mentioned it ... women see their flaws.... in microscopic detail.. real or imagined... some woman will see your profile and either decide she isnt pretty and delete your mail... decide your going to realise she isnt pretty and break her heart... so she deletes your mail.... deside your a shallow type who is only interested in looks.. and delete your mail.... or decide that someone who has to ask for pretty probably couldnt handle someone as pretty as her and deletes your mail (last one ... very rare... usually from florida or Los angelos ...maybe a few british colombia girls )

i know it says when people view your profile but theres ways around that... far as i know it only lights up the whos viewing me thing if they type your full name or click your name someplace
