Do I stink, or is it just my profile ?  I have several emails deleted unread.

Aileen1968 -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 5:50:15 AM)

You stink.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 6:23:57 AM)

don't take it so hard - they're not interested in you

is that a crime?

fluffyswitch -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 6:24:53 AM)

try reading the profile before you send an email. if you send an email to someone and you're blatantly not what they want and it's stated in the profile you're gonna be deleted. or at least that's how it works with this girl.

lockmeupplease -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 6:26:59 AM)

Are you writing to people who are not in your age range or in other countries? They may have their mail set to auto-delete messages that don't fit a certain criteria.

NakedGirlScout -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 6:28:27 AM)

I'd guess it is the fact that you live in Ireland, and if you're writing to people outside your country they may have no interest in talking. Many people are looking at least somewhat locally.

Maya2001 -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 6:41:34 AM)

I would probably rephrase the pretty part in your profile, most women do not define themselves a being pretty, and what is pretty  to one persons eyes may not be so to another,  describe what you want in the person.... as in character traits

Leatherist -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 7:59:07 AM)

Just means you struck out. If it ended up filtered in the bulk folder-you were outside of thier criteria.

On thew other side of the coin, I usually answer all of the mail that I receive that is respectful. If *I* delete something someone sent me unread-it means I think they are a waste of time.

MissHarlet -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 8:02:09 AM)

Read profiles of who you are sending yours to carefully and believe them when they state their preferences ... If they state they are not looking for someone outside a specific age range etc then they mean just that and are probably going to delete your email if you dont meet that criteria .. so save yourself the time and frustration by not sending them emails if you dont meet the criteria in their profiles.  Its there for a reason.

tigerstyle -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 8:51:35 AM)

Don't open with the claim that you are innovative and imaginative and then have nothing in your profile to show for it.

"Show, don't tell", as they say in Creative Writing 101.

Missokyst -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 10:21:04 AM)

Holey smokes I so agree with that!  Men can be plain, fat, old, bald and out of shape, but in their eyes they are good looking.  So many women see themselves on a harsher scale.  We note the few extra pounds, the tummy, the first wrinkle, the white hair and see "average".
I am fairly cute, but I would never answer an ad from anyone stating they were looking for a "pretty woman"

Maybe he saw julia roberts movie pretty woman. [:D][:D]

camille65 -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 10:28:12 AM)

I had no idea that the word 'pretty' had the potential to set so many people off. If asked, I would say that I am pretty.Heh I like the word pretty.

dcnovice -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 10:31:17 AM)

And now running through my head:

I feel pretty,
Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and bright!
And I pity
Any girl who isn't me tonight.

I feel charming,
Oh, so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel!
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real.

See the pretty girl in that mirror there:
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty face,
Such a pretty dress,
Such a pretty smile,
Such a pretty me!

I feel stunning
And entrancing,
Feel like running and dancing for joy,
For I'm loved
By a pretty wonderful boy!

Justme696 -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 10:37:38 AM)

I can imagine some people delete certain mail. In time the site has changed and different people came on to it. It has not become eassy to survive so to say.
But in general a "I am not interested" would be nicer.

For example. A lesbian Domme had a bad typo in her profile. So i thought let me inform her, so she can correct. But ok..no males for her..so she still have the typo on the page. My message was deleted unread.

tigerstyle -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 10:56:18 AM)

I dig the Tyvek suit though. Combined with the mop of curley hair, you look like a lil' cherub sent by St. Peter to whitewash the service entrance to Heaven.

seeksfemslave -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 11:07:23 AM)

Maybe they think you live on that submarine you are renovating.
Your not trying to convert those who specify "no men" are you ?

FullCircle -> RE: Delete unread (1/12/2008 11:12:55 AM)

I've seen worse profiles, I obviously can't name them but the one that calls us all scum and hopes we die from falling off of a tall building into a burning skip is amongst my personal favourites.

Submarine? Or life-sized walk-thru replica of the Merrimac?

ClassicV -> RE: Delete unread (10/19/2008 8:48:02 AM)

I'm refering to ones that don't read the mail, OR look at my profile, so they have no idea what or who I am.  Many 'mericans won't even consider moving outside the US, I know that.  For many of 'mericans, the rest of the world doesn't exist !.
