Status: offline 		        Sorry about the over the top thread title.  I tried a different approach and got nothing.

       My girlfriend is a sadist.  I love the things she likes doing, but I'm nervous about something.  Did any third-grader not wrap a bit of string around a finger until the tip turned purple?  That's how she starts at the base on me, with a length of parachute cord.  Then she continues tightly wrapping up to the head.  She has left it like that for over an hour.  We have a safeword, but I'm out of my head from the moment she tightens the first slipknot.  I wonder if I would even notice something going wrong before we needed an ER trip.

      How many others practice this kind of CBT on their males, and what should we be aware of?

Status: offline 		I suggest that you talk about this with your girlfriend. ask if she has had any training, what knowledge in general she has on the subject.  Also check out your local community!

Status: offline 		      She's not a pro, she didn't study under Misstress Olga in Prague for six years.  She just said she was going to try something one night, and we've worked up.  The "local community" is three hours in the car to spend an hour with people who only want to talk about power exchange, and the importance of "role."

Male genitalia are way sturdier than the nerve endings might let you know, but there are many structures in the penis that can be damaged by excessive pressure or lack of blood flow for an extended period.    It's YOUR unit, use your veto power to refuse things that you think might hurt you permanently!

Status: offline 		I HAVE many years of actual experience.  How can I give you lessons online?  In order to find someone to teach you, you have to READ, do research (medical websites?)  and meet LIVE PEOPLE.  I can tell you how to sew up an open wound over the phone, but how good a job would you do?

For one who wants help and guidance, I think you do yourself a great disservice in approaching these very experienced women who've given you excellent advice on where to find the information you seek.  Not only have you been impolite to them, you've been downright rude!  
 
But as what you've described is truly dangerous, I'll say something more specific.  Restricting blood flow to any area of the body, including the penis is generally not recommended for more than 20 minutes at a time.  Periods extending beyond that can cause permanent nerve damage.  I doubt your Mistress would want her subs's penis to be damaged such that she couldn't play with it.  This is something you shoud talk about with her immediately!  Another book I'd suggest you read is Jay Wiseman's "SM-101".  I believe there are references to the subject of restricting blood flow in that book as well, but due to your attitude, I have no interest in taking the time right now to verify it by looking in my copy for your convenience.
 
Good luck to you in playing with your Mistress before she does permanent damage to you.  I strongly suggest that both of you educate yourselves before trying any kind of play, even if it's something you already engage in.  There's nothing to lose in researching that which interests and excites you and there aren't always easy answers to questions.  In part it depends on whether you wish to play SSC (Safe, Sane & Consensual) or RACK away (Risk with Acceptable Consequences Knowledgeable).  It's your responsibility to make the effort to take care of yourself, not ours!  You seem to be a prime example of the old addage "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink!"  I suggest you "drink" what's been offered you and learn from it, rather than go thirsty for the knowledge contained therein.

      So thanks pixelslave.  Here I am in a room full of experts and the best answer comes from another guy, and he has to phrase it up to kiss their asses.  Please don't hang your lifestyle choices on my kink.  She is my girlfriend, not my misstress.  If she wants to embrace all that superiority crap I'll wish her the best of luck in that, and in finding another roof to live under.  What we have works fine.

Please don't put words in my mouth masomale70!  I didn't phrase my reply to imply in any way that you should "kiss ass", only that it works best around here to be respectful, polite, and to take some responsibility for the extra effort that might be required to find the answers to your questions using all the resources available to you.  After all, its is your dick we're talking about, not one belonging to any of the rest of us!  You presumably have the most invested in putting out the effort to find the answers to your questions, not us.

In serious cases, the ischemia may result in gangrene, which could necessitate penis removal. 

They have warnings on Viagra for a reason.

Status: offline 		I think he did come off as rude toward the middle but he did kinda have a point (which was hard to see amidst the sarcasm).

If someone suggests he read a book then chances are they've read it and know a bit about what is said on the subject. It could have helped to say "it will pop; check such and such a book for reference". If we read instructions in a book then, to me, it's the same as reading instructions in a post.

He also asked for feedback from others who do it. I had similar concerns about breast play because it hurt like the dickens but felt really good. I learned about the concerns from others and then I did research based on what they suggested. A good example of this is Mr. Kite's post

Using manners and civility is not submission, it's maturity.  It has nothing to do with the scene per se and everything to do with character.  Your  impatience and frustration is not a justification for incivility.  Neither are your projected expectations an obligation for others to perform up to your standards.

If it hurts enough to cause you concern, ask her to take it off earlier.  Yes, you can burst blood vessels.  It's possible you can work up to longer periods of being bound that way and your body will adapt.  If it starts to hurt in a bad way, stop.  Or don't.  Evolution is a beautiful thing.
