Depends on what you want to do. I avoid single-tails because using one properly and safely takes great amounts of practice. A paddle takes practice too, of course, but was certainly easier for me to acquire some skill with.

I find paddles -- and I'm talking the leather variety, the only type I've handled --work best on bottoms and the soles of the feet.

Enjoy both.. Paddle is probably more "fun" as a whip takes more concentration to use well

Floggers. Or cats o' nine tails or multi tailed whips or whatever you want to call 'em.

Paddles don't have enough play or give for my tastes. Leather slappers are better, but anything solid (wood, metal, etc) is very limited in where you can strike. Can't really hit someone on the shoulder blades, for instance. And it doesn't wrap and contour to the body.

Single tails are difficult to control and can be dangerous, even if you know how to operate them.

But multi tails? Excellent play, can be used anywhere on the body (that can be struck, of course), fairly safe, and so on. These are the cornerstone of my collection and what I prefer to use.

i prefer the whip but than a dom friend has a gorgeous paddle which leaves some fantastic marks on me so i love that too..........can i have both please? :) lol

Both whips and paddles make my eyes gleam and butt wiggle!

don't know if i could choose one over another...

there's something about being across a lap and having my bottom paddled til it's dark red....

and....

there's something about being chained to a cross and being single tailed til i ummmmmm....

so...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm............

Whips.

Rather use my hands than a paddle.

Those flexible slappers or tawses though, they can contend with whips.

Floggers. I know its not a choice, but its what I love. Whips if I can't have a flogger. I freakin hate paddles. God they hurt and are horrible horrible things.

id prefer His hands or the floggers, but if i had to choose between a whip or a paddle id say whichever He chooses to use at the time, they both make me anxious(i think a good word for what im trying to explain) and everything He uses keeps me wet

I've seen a few comments here that menion they're dangerous. They do take some practice to use well, but paddles or even the hand can easily break a tailbone.
