If you should decide to go more traditional, you can get translations of texts regardinng Anubis, Thoth, Ma'at and so forth. Heck, even the White translation might be adequate for your purposes. And transliterations are no problem at all, though you will need to guess at the vowels (although that guess is becoming educated these days). Might also find Ereskigal interesting, for a touch of the feminine, albeit that would be Sumerian, rather than Egyptian.

Health,
al-Aswad.

You know.. you are continualy surprising.. *smiles*

He is right though...

There are many translations.. and you would be amazed at all of the universities that do teach Phonetic Egyptian. If it is in the realm of your interest you may wish to pick it up. Yes it is going to be more feminine leaning.. but frankly when everything else in the world is lent to the masculine in academia.. I think we can handle it. LOL The Oxford and Britsh studies of course are best known.. but I am not sure I would personaly take them as gospel. ( these are the blokes who covered up tons of data because it was too racy.. to didnt apear as civilized to them in numerous fields )

Learning greek may also help of course.

One of my patron goddess is Bastet... we should talk some time Asherdelampyr

Shit!! Did anyone else grow a third leg, or was it just me?

I wouldn't know. I have had a third leg between the other two for as long as I can remember, and it didn't grow any at typing that. The damn traitor didn't even so much as twitch at the mention of the great Cthulhu or the thought of all the Hentai porn that could be made with the Starspawn of Cthulhu either. How twisted is that, huh?

quote:

Stop it Aswad. Take your heathen incantations elsewhere!!!

Heathen? Hardly. As far as I know, Cthulhu (and indeed the entire related mythology) was purely a construct of H. P. Lovecraft's deliciously sick and twisted imagination, although there are indeed strong similarities between these motifs (purportedly taken from his nightmares) and the early stages of Mesopotamian religions, such as the water analogies and so forth. Kind of a pity, as al-Aswad was what the fellahin (arabic peasants) called Nyarlathotep as he came out of Egypt... and he must have been a rather domly fella, given that «The fellahin knelt when they saw him, yet could not say why.» and so forth. Would have been a neat party trick at a munch.

Health,
al-Aswad.

For your further entertainment: «And through this revolting graveyard of the universe the muffled, maddening beating of drums, and thin, monotonous whine of blasphemous flutes from inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond Time; the detestable pounding and piping whereunto dance slowly, awkwardly, and absurdly the gigantic, tenebrous ultimate gods — the blind, voiceless, mindless gargoyles whose soul is Nyarlathotep.»

makes you wonder is Lovecraft was "tuned" in somehow since the historians did not find this link untill much later eh?

That always made me wonder.. well that along with Pyramids being all about the planet... in all sorts of civilizations.

But the likelyhood of Lovecraft getting even the name close.. makes one ponder.

It would be a neato party trick.... *smiles*

As your alter ego, I represent the saner side of you. So now I must ask you...

Why is it that every time you post your messages are always 'Awaiting Approval?' WTF?! I am getting sick and tired of having to wait 24 hrs or more to go back read what what you wrote. Sometimes I have to take notes to remember all the threads where you are 'Awaiting Approval.'
Honestly, it gets exhausting. I don't know why I even bother. Are you having trouble following the rules or something? What, are you like 5? Get your shit together, man.

...jeez, can't take you anywhere.

Us Satanist find it rather difficult to adhere to all of the rules that you Christians, pagans, atheists and agnostics have set forth.

What is the difference between being a Satanist and a pagan and a Christian or a Bhuddist? Can you actually defend one and then ridicule the other? One does not strike me as being any more worthy or sane then the other.

However, my lord and saviour, Mod11, will soon see that I have gone through a tremendous metamorphis....I have reformed my ways and become a Moderatist. While I find all of the Moderators to be worthy of praise, Mod11 is at the top of the heap. Practicing Moderatism is rather difficult as I tend to lean towards the obsessive compulsive side of things. I have found that since all of my posts need to find approval it is the perfect time for one who is firmly entrenched within Moderatism to reflect back on past transgressions and to prepare and make way for a more positive future.

I implore all of you to explore Moderatism...You can partake in any activity that you see fit just not all of the fucking time. It would do many of you a world of good to eplore this as an option to your current belief system. The shit you currently believe in really hasn't made much of a positive impact upon your lives...Look at you!

Within the sacred writings of "The Book of Balance" I'm sure you are all aware of Domiguy 5:14 ...The lord came down to address the sub who had been impregnated by her master....The sub experiencing great emotional turmoil over whether to keep an unwanted pregnancy sought out the council of her lord. The Lord came to her in the form of a hobo...The lord spoke, "child why do you call my name?" The sub cowered in fear but softly spoke, "My lord I don't know what to do? Is it wrong to end the potentiality of what is growing inside of me?" The lord smiled and spoke to the sub, "have you ever had a pregnancy end with an abortion before?" The sub replied, "no." The lord grinned and then took a healthy slug of some cheap wine that was in his coat pocket, "Then you have nothing to worry about. You just can't go around having abortions willy nilly all over the place...'Twould not be in moderation and therefore not very cool. Now make haste and go to that clinic down the street and take care of this matter once and for all." The sub hugged the Holy Hobo and went to the nearest ATM to make the required withdrawal....And it was good.

Though the books is a bit wordy, similar verses can be found exploring everything from sex, work, to heroin use....There must be a balance to everything....So go forth and prosper....But no more than two kids.

For fucks sake...I think you need an exorcism. Or maybe I could just place a request in the 'Professional Services' section and hire a Domme to beat the devil out of you.

beth's really into satin; me, not so much. she wants to get black satin sheets and pillow cases. I just don't think it's comfortable to sleep in regularly and prefer to spend money on a good 400 thread count Egyptian cotton.

Damn just realized I read that wrong. Sorry! - You guys are talking about  SATAN!
....nevermind.

ROFLMAO.... actually this whole thread has given me the giggles... better than giving me gas... THANX!!!!!

OMG...are you for real?  I haven't met any Satanist on this site.  LOL.  I've met several fellow Pagans, but no Satanist!  Yes, Satanism is a form of Paganism.

Most people I know who identify as either Satanist or Pagan would violently disagree with that statement.   Satanism is a subset of Christianity, either of the sort that professes an actual religious belief in Christian deities, or of the sort that is an intellectual rebellion or deliberate reversal of the principles of Christianity.  Paganism is not Christianity at all, and bears no more direct relationship to Christianity than it does to Buddhism.  "Pagan" is a fairly broad term with a long etymological history, but in its current usage is generally considered to refer to the earth-based Native religions.

quote:

My question to you....What the fuck does religion have to do with BDSM?  BDSM is a lifestyle like any other.  It's a preference on how to live, how to  have sex and how to connect to another human being.  Nothing more and nothing less.

Well that much makes sense.

Has anyone seen my bottle of black cock blood, harvested by a blond virgin at the full moon,  as she danced on innards of a ritually slaughtered goathearder?

I cant find it anywhere?!

Very different story from what I was told by one of my British admirers. He said English people - men and women both - did not like doing oral. He professes to like the idea, but he says he's never done it. I'm not so sure, now, that he's not pulling my stump. He's 60 - can he be that inexperienced?

I do I do I do, always have, always will and so  have the english men in my life, if they havent...they werent  around for long. It got to be a requirement pretty early on.
