I'm a complete nerd.  [:D]

Now see, I don't think that's anythign to be embarassed about. [;)]

Mine: I coo and purr and growl and bark, just in normal day-to-day. It's subtle and I can keep it in check a bit when required, but still a "*cooo*" or a "*mrrow*" will come out instead of a "Yes" sometimes.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/21/2008 9:05:49 PM)

I purr. I dont now that it snecessarily embarassing, but I know I do it.
And so I am told, I knead like a cat when I sleep.
Also, the ability to pull random movie/TV references out of thin air at a blink can be interesting, since not everyone gets them. I get lots of funny looks at work about that.

I snort when I laugh hard.

Hmm for me it would have to be the fact where i just start making up strange words when I get flustered or embaressed badly, yet if you asked me an hour later what that word was again lol I couldnt even tell you.  Other then that the list goes on lol but that I would say probably is one of the most unique.

Bluebird -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/21/2008 11:40:59 PM)

I'm very much a geek, but I don't find that embarrassing.
Embarrassing, but not necessarily endearing, is that I can get overly emotional, especially when I am overtired.  It's hard for people to know how to respond because most of the time I try very hard to be as logical as a Vulcan. And Vulcans don't cry ... [&:]

Stupid blushing....

I hear you. I blush at the drop of... well, probably not a hat, but at the drop of a lot of things. I blush for other people's embarrassment even when they're not really embarrassed. Take this last weekend, for example. I went and saw an amazingly, spectacularly fabulous play called "Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis" about a burnt out Dominatrix's 40th birthday. If you can, go see it, it's worth it. Anyway, there's a particular scene when two women (the Dominatrix, Josie, being one of them) have a sort of 'Dom-off contest' with the Chinese Elvis being the victim. It's a very emotionally intense, yet still amusing scene (thanks to the fabulous author). Fortunately, I was not seated next to the stage, but rather towards the back of the theater, in the dark, as I could feel my face burning during most of the 'competition.' I'm sure anyone who would have so much as glanced at me would have seen my face as red as a tomato. Hell, even now, recounting this, I'm blushing a bit. It's a good thing I enjoy humiliation play.

Oh goodness, I do too! I also have the weirdest little sneezes that apparently sound like a tiny poof-squeak, and tend to make people say "what the hell was that?", while they burst out laughing.

I like singing along to the radio - and I am terrible.  Tone deaf, out of tune ....absolutely awful!

In person, Im actually very shy and quiet meeting someone for the first time. I dont talk much but tend to blush alot.

i'm a serious blusher also [:)]  i'll blush if someone just looks at me or if i have a naughty thought and i'm by myself!  Another embarassing trait is that when i sleep on my back, i snore like a bull in heat so i was pretty happy when He would leave instead of staying the night. (Heck, i'm happy when ANYONE leaves instead of staying the night)

MaamJay -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/22/2008 6:12:46 AM)

Hmmm ... i twitch my nose like a bunny when concentrating ... very cute says Master.
And i regularly pull out references to bits of songs while in everyday talk ... one word can be enough to get me going! Unfortunately most times Master looks at me blankly and i say "must be before Your time Master!" That's about the only time the age gap of 15 years is noticeable LOL!

Master's cute one is His habit of doing silly walks and poses on travelators ... and starting and revving up the shopping trolley, beeping as He reverses it etc! Leaves me in stitches!

violet[A] (who didn't let Maam Jay in as She can't possibly have any embarrassing traits LOL!)

SubbieOnWheels -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/22/2008 7:25:38 AM)

I tend to use words other people don't know (a result of voracious reading). Then I have to define them. One group of friends will never forget what the word "minutiae" means. I just used it because it was the most appropriate word for the point I was trying to make. The blank stares of everyone else, coupled with the sudden silence, told me I'd best go into dictionary mode.

Oh - yes. Minutiae means nit-picky little details.

vampiresscammy -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/22/2008 9:15:01 AM)

i ramble/babble or so i've been told, sometimes about relavent thigns to the conversation, other times just random nonsense

i laugh and cry at inappropriate times and all of a sudden for no reason

you'd never guess by talkign to me or reading my writing, but i blush quite easily

LadyEllen -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/22/2008 9:35:45 AM)

my arrogant sense of my own superiority could be an embarassment, if my perfect nature were not so endearing

brainiacsub -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/22/2008 9:36:48 AM)

When I am alone, I talk to my dogs. Not like normal people talk to their dogs, mind you, but I have conversations with them, like they are people. Occasionally I've had the misfortune of having someone walk in on me or overhear. Of course, then there is the obvious question, "Who are you talking to?" Honestly, sometimes there is no good answer.

LaTigresse -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/22/2008 11:52:26 AM)

If you had not put the two qualifiers, of embarrassing and endearing, in there I could come up with a whole list of weird traits/quirks. Unfortunately I gave up being embarrassed years ago and I am not sure how endearing most of my quirks actually are.

Signed,

completely goofy and quirky

TheLookingGirl -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/22/2008 4:47:57 PM)

I share many traits with many people apparently.

The top two would hae to be clumsy of course, and not in the cute way its portrayed on tv when a girl is clumsy. Anyone who truely is knows it is definatly NOT cute. lol. And I also have the twisting hair problem. When I concentrate I do it the worst.

rubberpet -> RE: So, what's YOUR embarassing yet endearing character trait? (1/22/2008 5:23:31 PM)

Mistress squeaks when She laughs hard, and I mean squeaks!  It sounds like She's on the verge of hyperventilating.  It is so cute, though.  That is probably my favorite.[:D]

I tend to snort when I laugh hard.  I almost sound like a spastic Steve Urkel.  That's not all, though.  If I'm laughing hard and snorting, chances are I'm gonna be fartin', too!  It sounds like I'm reving up a Harley...LOL.[:D]  Laughing leads to snorting, snorting leads to fartin', fartin' leads to more laughing and snorting.  It's a vicious cycle.
