Just a clarification... The last thing we actually have is a 100% capitalist state with an actual free market. I mean, it's not even close. Everything is heavily regulated, dumb shit subsidized, the market tampered with, the means of exchange a de facto ongoing act of extortion and robbery, etc. So puh-leaze save the capitalist/free market rhetoric as if I was the enemy of the state when that is really what all of our political leaders become the moment they enter office. And I am not a full on socialist, but I do think we can make a hybrid capitalist-socialist thing work. Hell, it's what we are doing right now, except that we are doing it really badly because rather than focusing heavily on the rights and needs of individuals we are focusing heavily on the needs of corporations. In other words, we have completely lost the thread in terms of the fundamental purposes of government and the basis of the social contract. We have forgotten that the individual is paramount.
