Ok, my trainer and i have discussed this to great length.  What kind of pizza is actually the best?  He believes that anything other then pepperoni with cheese is just flat bread with crap on it!  i say B.S.!  i personally love veggie then i add some sort of meat.  HMMMM, love all veggies on it.  i have even had a very good taco pizza from this little family run place in the pacific northwest that was to die for.
Once He even joked that next thing i will be saying is that pita bread makes a good pizza, LOL, i just blushed and told Him it does.

My favorite would be:  thin/crispy crust, extra cheese, mushrooms, sausage
I also like a good old thin/crispy crust, extra cheese & pepperoni
I don't like a lot of stuff and if someone else orders I usually end up picking stuff off.

I live in Chicago..THE pizza capitol!. I agree cheese and peperoni. But the great thing about pizza is they are all different. There has got to be, 50 pizza joints within 2 miles of where I live.

I would assume no pizza is the best pizza.  However going stricty from taste for myself.  I eat all veggie pizza.
Now and then different pizzas.  We have a pizza place who delivers here.  They make an excellent taco pizza.  You better be hungry though a typical pizza weighs a good ten pounds.  So, I can put away one slice.
I can pretty much cope with any sort as long as there is no chicken or sausage on it.

No pepperoni - ought to be banned under a UN convention, and no fish - for which capital punishment should be introduced for those putting it on pizza (and in curries - its just wrong!)

Lots of cheese, tomato, onion, peppers, chillis, chicken (BBQ, plain, Mexican, doesnt matter).

I thought Napoli was the home of pizza? But then Napoli might be a load of rubbish....

YES chicken with white sauce and tomatoes, onions, spinach, green peppers, artichoke hearts, olives, mushrooms. YUMMY!

LaTigresse -> RE: Pizza, where do you stand? (1/22/2008 7:29:56 AM)

Out of the choices offered, I would go with meatlovers......carnivore here. I detest pepperoni. Shit tastes like rotten grease with a bunch of nasty seasonings to me. I also love fresh mushrooms and black olives on a pizza.

Edited to add, except for Papa John's I avoid the chains like the plague. I detest almost ALL chain restaurants.

I either eat Pizza hut supreme, or ham and pineapple... I love ham and pineapple, id say its gotta be the best

OMG! It's only 7:30 a.m. here, and I want pizza - that kind!

I voted for Hawaiian, but I'm good for anything, almost, yes (go ahead and make fun of me), even anchovies. Just no shrimp, please. Last time I had shrimp on pizza I ended up in the hospital with food poisoning.

And - sorry, Chicago - the thinner the crust the better. As far as I'm concerned, the only purpose of the crust is to hold the toppings.

LaTigresse -> RE: Pizza, where do you stand? (1/22/2008 7:37:53 AM)

Shrimp on pizza is just WRONG![:'(]

Jeffff -> RE: Pizza, where do you stand? (1/22/2008 7:39:45 AM)

contrary to popular belief Chicago has excellent thin crust pizza!!........most of our pizza is thin crust

I love both .. but have to agree .. they are jsut wrong together !!!

KatyLied -> RE: Pizza, where do you stand? (1/22/2008 7:40:47 AM)

There is a restaurant in northeastern Pennsylvania that has double-crusted pizza, oozing with cheese.  I think it's the spices on the top crust that make it special.  Good stuff.

LaTigresse -> RE: Pizza, where do you stand? (1/22/2008 7:43:21 AM)

Ohhh Katy, that sounds wicked good.

And Ron is convinced it is the TP that makes women's arses bigger..........

BBWnNC72 -> RE: Pizza, where do you stand? (1/22/2008 7:43:22 AM)

i agree the crust is only to hold the toppings, and i dont eat the outer edge of the crust either.  i do love a good calzone too, Pizza Hut makes a good calzone.  i dont care for any of their pizza's though, i really like finding a small family owned place or make my own on pita bread of course. LOL
