I knew my spidey senses were going off for a reason today. I know the funeral home that has heath's body has a nice big barricade around it by way of the police. as for WBC...-.- these people make me sick on too many levels. Anyone from vegas should remeber when they came to protest Las Vegas Academy for havign a production of he Marlboro Project : The story of Matthew Shepard. The only reason every of of the student and parents out counter protesting didn't stomp them good was because Metro was there. There is a special place in the underworld for people like this. 'Rev' Phelps is not only a zealot and a maniac he's also a wife beater. I can't remember the site but three of his many children have broken ties with him and two of them even participated in a article/story about their life growing up with t he man who has commited fraud several times, door to door candy sells with his kids, been disbarred for his actions and also threw their mother down the stairs and refused to let her go to the doctor's to get her shoulder checked out. The WBC church is made of up family extended family and 'like minded' individuals. If you want a real laugh though go to their site and look at the video of a police officer 'supposedly' assualting one of the female members. I saw supposedly because the camera is facing the ground during the apparent contact. The church is also attached to the main Phelps family home. These people need to thread very carefully because one day they will push someone too far and innocent UMs will get caught in the cross fire.

Unfortunatly part of a free society with freedom of speech is that assholes will say things like this. As much as I wold like to just silence these folks, we shouldn't for a reason. We can make sure that they can't disrupt other peoples events though, and should.

I heard he was being buried in New York (I think) because that's where his daughter will live and grow up.

It's really sad for the children on the BBC special one of them gets hit in the head by a cup and if you ask any of the children they really have no idea...it's slightly cultish and it's a shame that this has been allowed to go on considering the children that are involved and how impressionable they are. -bobcat

That is why it's getting attention (at least that's my POV)

Popeye they are protesting him in particular because of a fictional role he played in Broke back Mountain which makes him a "fag enablor" which means he is burning in hell because he pretended to be gay in a movie. They seem to have trouble distinguishing between fiction and reality or they don't care.

It's about whether their ideas are better than ours. Let them nurture those ideas in the dark and they just grow, albeit slowly. The fact they praise the 9/11 attacks is proof positive they are sick. The fastest way to put a stop to them would be to disbar the lawyers in their sick lil club.

Phil, true that. But, I'm of the mind that there's not "enough" violence in society. Too many lawyers and "councillors" and not enough ASS-KICKING going on. Nothing like a good beating to adjust someone's attitude. In the military we called it, "a significant emotional experience."

i'm aware [8\|] after i saw this thread i went into research mode. It seems less like a religion then a cult. They really have an askwed view on the world and though yes they have the right to protest they do it in such an illogical way (really Swedes?) that it's such a disturbing and twisted thought process that makes it cultish. It's going to get out of hand and be a Waco all over again (personally) since they are ostracized and no one in there is really willing to step out of the sheltered world that has been provided for them by "gramps." i was just explaining why they picked heath ledger out of the group :)

hehe yeah and thats the thing they have already lit the fire under someone once. I forgot how long ago it was but some one tried to blow thier chruch up which happens to be attached to the Phleps' home. It was at night and no one was hurt, my concern really comes down to the kids since as you've sen from those pics they take their children with them. As for no one being willing to step out three of the children distanced themselves years ago. The two oldest boys i believe and one of the daughters who went as far as to change her name. the boys participated in an article aboout thier fmaily I just wish i could remember the link for it. Gives alot of insight into the good Reverand's mind

i know about the children that left but i mean the others who really believe that this is an actual benefit to their cause and society. (sorry if i sound arrogant just obviously you can't hear tone on the computer hehe)
