Pretty much. Recently i have become obsessed with these documentaries by Louis on the BBC and he has an amazing one on the Phelps and it seems like some are truelly afraid and others are just ignorant. It's a shame because they all seem like nice people once you get them out of the church and take away the picket signs, except the leader...he seems constantly upset

They must be pretty rich protesters. Heath Ledger's funeral is being held in his home town of Perth, Western Australia. It would be over US2,000 each for the flights on such short notice. According to the Australian Associated Press, there will be no public memorial service in the United States. The "Patriot Guard" is pretty much there for military funerals if there is an inkling that the Phelps tribe will show up. That is virtually all in the time in Kansas. There is also legislation that is being considered here to specifically make demonstrations illegal at funerals. I think that is a better way to go than restricting what people can say in general. As far as this group becoming another Waco thats not likely. Most of the family are either lawyers or hold positions in the state government. Away from their church "activities" they are known as smart and hard workers. It all seems to stem from papa Phelps and one can hope that once he has passed to his reward this kind of stuff will not be so prevalent.

In phelp`s twisted logic,he`s claiming that the soldier`s deaths are god`s wrath for the US tolerating gay people. Strange,I know. There really isn`t a connection between service men/women and the gay community,other than breathing air. phelps is only trying to be as outrageous as possible,and not get arrested. What better way to raise the ire of Americans,then to scream and yell horrible,disgusting things at a grieving family`s funeral.Oh!, that just makes me boil.I`m sure I`m not alone. There`s really nothing more repugnant or awful than defiling something as solemn as a funeral service. There is really nothing as bad as that,that`s still legal. I can`t think of one thing that`s worse. His shtick is outrage and getting the media to cover him. I 1st saw him on the Morton Downy show like 20 years,doing that same thing.The Downys of the world make money off this crap,daily.So does phelps. The profit driven, corporation biased mainstream media ,loves this stuff.They love sssex-say stories and scandal,poop like Britney and Paris,and man-bites-dog pieces.There`s to much money to be made, not to cover the phelps` of the world.
