I was just commenting on a post written by a sub who is about to be deployed. My sir was in the military for 10 years. he is an expert marksman, loves rope and and he's really good with knots.

Army Reserve, 1984-91. Military police. Best thing I ever did was enlisting. Biggest mistake I ever made was leaving it though. In the munch group of which I'm a member, I would say that at least 3/4 of the Doms are vets. Not sure about the subs though.

Let's see. Closest I come to the service personally is one year of a military academy, lol. While it was a hell year, I'm afraid it didn't contribute to this nation's defense. :P Family-wise.. one uncle who retired as a Commander in the USAF. A cousin who spent four years in the USMC. One of my two best friends has been off in Iraq since Karana knows when, also USMC. Both grandfathers in the Navy during (also before and during) WWII, but I guess that's too long ago to be relevant today. I don't know many people in the lifestyle, though; coupled with my age, I'm afraid I don't konw any kinksters who have served (from real life). It's kind of sad, really. My USMC friend went there because he was suicidal and couldn't think of a better way to go out. Thankfully, he served without getting his wish. Poor guy, though.. I don't think he's been doing very well lately.

I was in the military active duty for three years in the late eighties. I loved it. I wish I had quit partying long enough to do well on my job so that I could have retired. My father was in the Navy in Korea. The rest of the family was primary Navy. I had to go and join the Army. There was little that a woman could do back then like they can now. Way to go ladies for taking us forward. I have a cousin stationed in Germany now. He is not in Iraq yet. One thing I want to say. I may opposse how the government is misusing lives and funds, but I will never turn my back on my comrads over in Iraq. You all have a good day. Regards, MissSCD

my Mate has been in the army our whole marriage. He's been in the bad place once and has to go again.[:(]

there are two guys I've played with here in town, both Army (although one has since retired). I'm a USAF brat (couldn't enlist myself, due to hearing issues..).

8 years in the navy, got out about year and a half ago. Best decision I made with my life was enlisting, worst decision I ever made was extending for 2 extra years for reasons unrelated to my joining up in the first place (I got merged and "re-rated" )

I did one tour as an Air Force Security Policeman in the late 80’s / early 90’s. Best time of my life. Little did I know that my boots, uniforms and cuffs would be put to good use again so many years later. Somehow, I don’t think that what I do with them now was ever detailed in any AF regs – not as far as I remember anyway. <grin>

Lets see my dad did 22 yrs in the Marines. One uncle in the Army another uncle in the Air Force. Grandfather in the Navy during WWII. My Master did 8 yrs in the Air Force. Wow only branch not covered in my faimly is CG.

I spent 20 years in the Army going through the ranks and becoming an officer. I haven't been out that long. Lady Pact, yeah, Ft. Gordon is right here [:)].

Army combat medic, 91-97. Technically 'disabled' vet, but not because of rescuing 30 men from an onslaught of machine guns, bayonets, or dragons. I tripped and blew out my knee. ;-)
