Has anyone on here actually gotten spam e-mails in there inbox? On collarme, alone please.

Not trying to be a smart ass, I don't use smileys....so it occurs to me that my phrasing may not always be taken the right way. That said, the reason I ask is that I've never had spam on collarme.

Thanks for the input,

I have gotten about 1/2 dozen 'spams' or mass mailings including from a Dom who was offering to sell me one of his slaves and both Dommes and Subs from what was Eastern Europe looking for "a few good men." It happens and that is why you have the report to administrator option as well as the delete button!

If the person took the time to read your profile, then tt is always polite to say thanks, but not thanks. If you wish to give a reason, even better. If the person keeps emailing you, you can simply delete the messsagas or block them. However, I am aware that many subs and Dommes get dozens upon dozens of emails, many of which do not deserve any reply. That is the nature of collarme and similar websites. Ultimately, how you wish to behave is a reflection upon yourself and you can't control anyone else's actions but your own on here.

I make it clear in my profile that if a person appears to have not read or to have completely disreguarded my profile...their message will be deleted with no reply.

I hold true to that.

I try to reply to any email that is not blatantly offensive, but I think, as well, pinkpleasures has good point in saying that an email that I might think is rude could just be a misunderstanding from someone who is new to the site.

Although I have had to put on my profile that I will not reply to messages that contain subject inviting me to dominate, inspect or cyber, I may have to think harder about which emails I answer from now on. Although I have never intended to be rude to anyone who takes the time to actually write me I think practising the art of being polite in all circumstance is something that I, and probably a few others, could practise.

On the other hand, I dont really take it personally when someone does not respond to a message I have sent.

This is very insightful. Back when Libby and I were running the BBS associated with The Boston Dungeon Society, I'd often get a message reading something like "I was on your BBS and I think I made a complete fool of myself. Evidently, this new world isn't at all like the books (wank porn) I've been reading. How can I get people to realize that I'm not a complete idiot."

It's that sort of wank porn that produces a lot of the "kneel before my 12 inch cock" from otherwise reasonable people. Often they are worth working with.

On the other hand, there are those who couldn't get a clue "if they were covered in clue musk and standing naked in the middle of a field of horny clues in the middle of clue mating season" (credit to Davo)

I reply to messages within reason. If someone took the time to read my profile and send an actual message I'll respond even if it's just "no thank you" and wish them good luck in their search. I've gotten many who do message again not to hound me but just to thank me for actually replying even with a notice of disinterest.

I don't reply when they are one liners like "hi," "can i b ur cyber slv," or anything along those lines because that shows no thought or consideration at all. I also don't reply to the numerous messages from HNGs halfway around the world who have very obviously neglected to read my profile or the ones who send form letters to every Female name that pops up in the search. I don't feel obligated to waste my time on the endless idiots who can't comprehend with the "big head" anyway. I too have revised my profile a few times to make it more specific but unfortunately you'll always have a plethora of HNGs on these types of sites with endless energy to troll.

Hey its no problem at all! I get tons of the stuff on my other emails. I am sure you will have as much use as I do for hair restoring, penis lengthening, dream vacations, making millions working at home and lest I forget, helping disposed policticians and widows from Nigeria reclaim the millions of dolalrs that are stuck in their banking system.

C'mon Tempestspet, what are you waiting for? lol
