dialects are a favourite of mine :)
On a long flight home once, I started talking to a chappie that after about two hours of chatting asked me if I came from hertfordshire(I do).....turns out he was a dialect coach and was (obviously) pretty good at his job. he said it took him two hours because he kept picking up hints of a linolnshire accent(my mum is from there)

I hate those mini roundabouts where three cars arrive at the same time and no one knows what to do next.

I am also from the South and have a rather 'plummy' accent - I soon lost my sarf east accent when I attended the convent as 'commoners' were frowned upon! Although when I get a little (okay a lot) excited I can hear the cockney inflection and for some peculiar reason, whenever I attempt other accents they all sound Indian! I have been told that I sound like Frank Bruno in the mornings. I wonder if the OP is still interested
