I remember being nervous the first time I met him, I could hardly eat when we went to our rooftop lunch. Usually Im a loud and bubbly person but I was so nervous and overwhelmed I was like a mouse.

Blessed thread! I'm on the same situation. After five months chatting with Him, finally we'll meet next saturday (in three days...). I have the exact same feelings: anxiety, nervous, a part of me telling I'm not good enough for Him, and maybe I'll not physically attractive to Him in despite he has a photo of me... It's my first time meeting someone from internet, so I'm nervous because of it, too.

Your experiences helps to low my anxiety level. Thank you all for posting them.

I had talked to my Owner on the internet for months and when we finally met i somehow was not nervous at all. We met, hugged and had coffee. I think he was way more nervous than me, i think that is quite sweet actually.

I am always nervous going into a new situation or relationship, because I realize that, if all goes well, a change will be occurring in my life. Change can be scary and exciting at the same time. No matter how much I prep for it, the nerves are going to be there. I try not to use it as an excuse to "chicken out" of things, sometimes it even becomes my motivation.
But I am aware of when it's nerves and when it's that "bad feeling", and bad feelings get canceled.

Just to let you know... yesterday I met my Dom and all my anxiety disappeared. He hugged me and kissed me gently in the lips as soon as we met and from this moment my nerves lowered a lot.

And I agree with you, NaiveTempest. A new relationship goes to a change, bigger or smaller, in you life. Even now I have a little fear and I'm excited at the same time but now I'm sure I have the acceptance I need from Him. This helps a lot to manage the change successfully.

Normal. That's why some people get what i call a "date zit" it's just a part of greeting anything new. A new job, a new town, a new house; first time jitters are totally normal.
