Why do people look at your profile 5 times and not contact u?

Status: offline 		is it up to me to contact them when i notice they keep looking at my profile? Or should they contact me?

Just wondering what is the proper protocol here?

Status: offline 		Perhaps they're working up the courage to contact you.  Take into account their hesitation, if confidence is what you seek. 

As to protocol, there is none, other than the expectation of polite behavior.  Protocols are established between consenting parties.

What protocol? I don't think there is one. Tons of people look at my profile who never say a thing to me. It does not bother me, I love seeing who viewed me, it is fun.

I figure if someone wants to chat with me, they will write me. I don't feel as if I have to contact anyone just because they viewed me. There is no obligation on anyone's part. You never know why you were viewed, so why contact?

Status: offline 		I have many people who perv my profile, and some of them perv it regularly.  Some of them are subscribed to my journal, so I figure they are just reading what I've written, or they are looking for something that I am, have, etc. that pulled me up in a general profile search.  Or maybe they are looking to see who the person is who posted something.  Who knows?  I don't sweat it.  If they want to talk to me, they will.  If not, well happy viewing.

Status: offline 		It happens all the time, if they wanna contact you, they will.  If you wanna contact them, go ahead.  I have one boy that looks at My profile at least once a day, sometimes more, for months now, but has never said anything to Me.  Its no big deal, its there right, so people might as well look at it!

Status: offline 		There can be many reasons, maybe the have read what you wrote in the forums, or like what you have in your journal and wish to keep up with it so they check out your profile. Some people have a long profile written out and you have to view the profile to see all they have written. Some are actively seeking a partner and look at profiles that catch thier eye and need to work up the courage to email. Others may be already emailing someone one of interests, but as you know not all those come to a realtionship so you are being kept in mind in case the other does not work out. Maybe some often look at a profile with hopes that you will contact them first.

I am sure thare are more reasons, these were just the ones that popped into my head right away.

Status: offline 		When you post on the forums people will look at your profile that have no intention of contacting you just to see who you are.  There are probably more lurkers than posters here as well, so you may not recognize the names. I wouldn't put too much faith in the who's viewing me list.

Status: offline 		Everyone who looks at your profile isn't necessarily wanting to make your acquaintance. I would say it's more of a curiosity thing- they see something you say in the forums and want to know more about you, they see that you live nearby and like the idea of seeing who their pervy neighbors are, they enjoy your pictures,or maybe they like your journal entries. I wouldn't worry about it if they don't contact you. I'd say it's more like having someone look your way on the street. You wouldn't expect everyone who glances your way to come up and introduce themselves, nor would you feel obligated to do the same.

You do whatever you want. If view their profile and like what you see, write them! Or not. It's no different than being out in public and seeing someone that catches your eye for whatever reason, not always in a good way. Sometimes it is more like the bad trainwreck theory. You do want to look but you just have to, to see how bad it really is. Sometimes they are just physically appealing and we are visually appreciating that. Sometimes their words captivate us in some way.

There are quite a few people on the site who's profiles I check out regularly, of every variety. A straight domme who has beautiful photography and writes very well and I love checking in when she posts new shots. Someone I believe is her male slave that also is very good with words, and is apparently an artist. A poly household who's various members I admire and enjoy. I enjoy viewing their new photos because they happiness together is reflected in their words and photos. etc etc etc etc..

it says right here on page 69 paragraph 2 section 8  and i quote "...if a viewer has perved the said viewee (you) more than 5 times, it's up the viewee (you) to initiate contact with the viewer either by becoming a viewer, inviting to private chat and/or sending a personal message.  it will be up to the viewer now the viewee to respond back to you...."

Status: offline 		I've met some wonderful people that way.   I typically e-mail them with a flirty, tongue in cheek message about having caught them in the act of peeping.  I actually met one of my best friends this way.

Status: offline 		I will look at a profile if the poster says something that makes me wonder about their age, sex, experience, location etc. And then three weeks later if they say something else that sparks interest, I'll look again. There are profiles I've looked at simply because of the pictures. I like landscapes and if someone's avatar is pretty, I'll see what other pics they have up.
