Griswold -> Sick, fucked up Motherfuckers (1/29/2008 3:30:46 PM)

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080129/ap_on_re_us/foreclosure_pets

These people should be found, gathered up...and shot.

And then afterwords....pissed on, lit on fire and then shit on.

In their mouths.

(Just my thoughts).

MsLadySue -> RE: Sick, fucked up Motherfuckers (1/29/2008 3:37:30 PM)

The laws are all screwed up. People have to get a license to marry but anyone can have kids and own pets.

GreedyTop -> RE: Sick, fucked up Motherfuckers (1/29/2008 3:37:50 PM)

I'm in full agreement.

MissMorrigan -> RE: Sick, fucked up Motherfuckers (1/29/2008 3:39:14 PM)

I'm inclined to think they should be pissed on, set alight and THEN shot, but only to make sure they are dead. Very recently, here in the UK, horses had been found abandoned in a field where they'd been left to starve and it's thought that some of them had to eat the corpses of those that had starved to death. The owner is unrepentent, he'd purchased them for as little as a £1 each and was planning on selling them as a food source abroad. The owner will be prosecuted, given a small fine and banned from keeping animals in the future. Will the penalties imposed stop scum like that from continuing this abhorrent abuse? Of course not.

It will only matter when people, as a whole, begin to value animals, the important roles they play in our lives whether that be in a pet capacity, or as livestock, and those that abuse/neglect them are forced to suffer REAL consequences of actions.

that was depressing as hell [&o]

the only people who can afford a house like that in california are RICH people.
actors, actresses, lawyers, musicians..etc.  california is not a good place if your poor.  no wonder they are having lots of closures.  some places are what $1000 per month just for electricity??? scary shit.  i was visiting in SF a few months and the people i stayed with lived in a dump and they were paying TONS for it.

Rule -> RE: Sick, fucked up Motherfuckers (1/29/2008 3:47:21 PM)

I disagree. These people are in financial difficulty for various reasons. It is too easy to blame them for that. I point the finger at their leaders and governors: it is their responsibility to ensure that their people are taken care off and are not preyed upon.

KenDckey -> RE: Sick, fucked up Motherfuckers (1/29/2008 3:47:31 PM)

My sister works for Animal control and what they find is so much like this.   She trapped in her back yard (when she bought the house she is in) 18 ferel cats, took them to work where they neutered them and then she returned them home where she feeds them.   But she is an exception.

I personally think that people that do this to their pets should be tied up, peed on, shit on, and slow cooked over a nice long burning candle under the most senstive parts first.   They don't get fed till they are well done (might take a case or 50 of candles to accomplish that).

I have 2 dogs.   Dog food goes in the shopping cart before people food.

yes but why is it that someone in one county pays $1000 for electricity and then the same sized house/apt whatever...pays like $400 in another county?? ...and when that company was running the city...what was it called?? enron?? or do i have the wrong one...

The Government isn't responsible for babysitting people.  I think it's too easy to blame the governement and not the people involved.

The Government is not responsible for my success or failure in life.  I'm responsible for that.

Just my two cents, of course.

ILd adopt a new dog- but the shelter wants $75. so- that leaves me out.

this place was a forclosure- it had some damage- but nothing as severe as i seeen in otehr parts.

when ppl lose their house- they tend to not leave it for someone else.

if these ppl were put out by the sherif- maybe thats why the pets...

The flock is being preyed upon. There are no shepherds any more.

One can live without electricity.

I am going to buy a bicycle tomorrow for seventy to eighty kilometre visits with my relatives. (As the train company has introduced reduction passes with chips. I do not want to be chipped.)

I tend to agree with Rule. Whilst it's unforgivable to be cruel to pets, I can understand that some people forget about their responsibilities when they loose their homes. Not that it makes it okay, but it certainly explains it.

And I'm horrified that some are calling for their murder. What's the matter with you?!!!

Hon, nowhere in the article did it discuss rich versus poor, extravagent versus frugal.

The article was about people leaving their keys on the counter...and their pets in the living room.

With the door closed.

And no food.

As to leaders, lenders, or anyone that "put them there"....that's entirely imaterial.

These are human adults.

With responsabilities.

Which included their pets.

Whom they left, starving, fearful.

Alone.

And that's just plain fucking sick.

The government enabled loan sharks - for that is what banks are - to offer these vulnerable people mortgages. It is slavery pure and simple.

yes thats my point...if u know you cant afford to pay for the bills..why try to own a home??? eventually it will catch up and owe too much.   i certainly know i cant live alone on my income...so i have to share.  but if u know you cant afford a house there are other options..like a townhouse..that is alot cheaper and probably in better shape than the house.

MissMorrigan -> RE: Sick, fucked up Motherfuckers (1/29/2008 4:02:22 PM)

I can live with that, MstrssPassion, and agree such people should be made to relive their agonies for the abuse they inflict.

KenDckey, I have nothing but admiration, respect and gratitude for people like your sister. I adore animals and support several charities, have often thought perhaps I could work for one in a more 'hands-on' capacity, but to be honest, I'm a bit of a coward in that respect and would find it personally soul-destroying.

It's too bloody easy to blame the government for the persons in the OP's link, the decision was solely theirs to abandon their pet and leave it to starve to death. Just one phonecall could have made all the difference to that animal's future - by ensuring it had one. It's a rarity for me to wish ill on anyone, but I make no excuses for hoping these persons' future is as bleak as the animal they sentenced to die so horribly.

SugarMyChurro -> RE: Sick, fucked up Motherfuckers (1/29/2008 4:02:33 PM)

Wow, that's my town they are talking about. It doesn't seem as bad as that where I am but I guess one never knows what's behind the closed doors of suburbia.

The pet abandonment part seems crazy. I love my cat. I used to have two cats, but one died of throat cancer last year. But I would never allow my animal to suffer and starve that way. I don't know what explains that behavior.

Sheesh!

Link to pic of my cat in her new collar, pic is slightly blurry:

yes i agree..but its the persons fault who bought the house to begin with.  income was obviously not good enough.  or they are spending it on other things.
people who are not responsible for their own lives...should not own any pets!
