10 None of the above.

If you think it's Texan partisanship that the Cowboys are on the list twice [:-]. Maybe so, but I do believe those two teams are among the best to ever play in the NFL. But, the best? Maybe not.....

considering I dispise ALL of those teams, none of the above.

cuffnspankme -> RE: Greatest NFL team of all time? (1/29/2008 8:23:54 PM)

It was the 84 Bears, they won the 85 Superbowl. I watched the game, got to stay up late. That was such a great team and season...

I gota go with my Niners and the elephant {Haley}1989.

The runner up is the '85 Bears with Fencik and 46-''D''

They had a freakishly brutal defense; I loved watching them swarm over everything in sight, and Walter Payton is perhaps the greatest player of all time, IMO..... but. Take away Payton, and that offense looks a lot more like Clark Kent than Superman. [:D]

A great team, and Haley made two of the above, hell of a rusher. The Niners D from about 4 years earlier, to me, was even better though. Fred Dean, "Hacksaw" Reynolds, Keena Turner.... hell of a unit, but they didn't have Rice yet, to lift the O up to where it would eventually be.

My pick, tough as it is to choose it, is the '75 Steelers. The Steel Curtain defense was without a weak link. Front to back, you had Pro Bowlers. The offense could kill you slow, or rapidly, through the air, or on the ground.

And they did beat Dallas. I'll never forget that, or forgive it.

Awww.. com'on like there is *any* question.... Da Bearsssss!

I was there.. I lived in Chicago at the time... ( my home town)

Just for the record.. I *hate* Dallas. The only good thing about them is those super hot cheerleaders.

Well...i'm a New Englander so my first instinct would be to choose the Pats...however, i think it takes more than one GREAT season to make the "Best Team of all Time"....so, in all fairness, i wouldn't choose them.  BUT, based on the stats listed, they are doing damn well [:)]  Let's just see if they win the SB on Sunday, that'll be my deciding factor [;)]

pahunkboy -> RE: Greatest NFL team of all time? (1/30/2008 6:04:20 AM)

Da Bears.  im not a football watcher- and will skip the big game- tho 85 was great. the snow fell the 4th quarter w the LA rams... hehe

where else is there a refrigerator?

servantforuse -> RE: Greatest NFL team of all time? (1/30/2008 6:07:12 AM)

The Green Bay Packers are 12 time World Champions. The Bears are next in line with 9 titles....

Jeffff -> RE: Greatest NFL team of all time? (1/30/2008 6:09:40 AM)

The 85 Bears ofcourse!!....... and for the record, the Pats need to win so the '72 Dolphins can go away

I'd have to go with the '85 Bears.  The defense was just SICK!  When the Patriots destroy the Giants this Sunday, I'd have to say these Patriots are the best NFL team ever.  I'm also a huge fan of the 2000 Ravens.  While the offense wasn't impressive, the defense is probably the best of all time.  Just my opinion, though.
