Mc Cain can smirk.. but Rommney just seems to be a slimey bastard...  Honestly I wouldnt trust either of them.. Huckabee is a crazy bible thumping bastard who would prob. end up taking away womens rights to vote or do anything.

The only person who is making any sense up there to me at least is Ron Paul... and they arent letting him talk.. and when he does they cut him off. *sighs* When he does talk people cheer...

I swear if I hear one more Regan refferance I am going to puke. Tell us what *you* are going to change here and now.

Gwyn

Huckabee isn't a bad guy either, IMO, Gwyn. He seems to have more concern for the disadvantaged than some others we could mention.

I am sorry.. any one who openly says little alone in his heart thinks that gays are on par with pedaphiles and folks who are into beastiality is not an OK guy. He also said Gay marriage would basicaly end civilization. He would do his damnnedest to overturn Roe v. Wade.. Hmmm yeah not liking him so much.  He does have some good points.. better then McCain and Rommney.. but there is no way in hell I would want him managing anything more then a Kwiki Mart as far as I am concerned.

I want to go forward.. not get dragged a few decades back.

just my opinon.

Gwyn

LOL at "kwiki mart" [:D]

Yeah, it's very unlikely that I'd vote for him, and while I'm not very pro-choice, I definitely don't agree with him on gay issues.

You know, Level, I actually liked Huckabee's position on national defense, but I could never vote for somebody who believed the Bible trumped science.

Well, I'm a Christian that believes in science, so, I take both things into account. How do you normally vote?

Very pretty pic, by the way.

Thanks for the compliment, but it's not actually me in the pic...it's Domiguy.

Anyway, I am a moderate and registered as an independent. I'm a fiscal conservative, pro defense and a social liberal. I will vote for a moderate in either party, but a practicing fundamentalist for any religion is a hard limit for me.

"Slimy" is a perfect descriptive for Romney...

McCain just makes me so grumpy because he keeps bringing everything back to his time as a POW...

tomorrow's the Dem's try at debate....bring the popcorn...and one of those foam bricks to throw at the tv....

Foam brick.......... that's where I went wrong...... [:D]

I think "trump" goes along with pinochle or bridge... I can't remember which. I was never allowed to have my head above the table when the adults were playing cards...dammit  [:D]

Griswold -> RE: Is anyone watching the Republican debate? (1/30/2008 7:03:59 PM)

I just want to say at this moment, if it's offered, I will NOT accept the nomination.

Only four of a kind, straight and royal flush beat a full house, my friend.

Yes, I identify quite strongly with Libertarian politics.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will endorse John McCain on Thursday, giving a boost to the Republican presidential front-runner six days before California's high-prize primary.

Schwarzenegger's endorsement of McCain is yet another setback for Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor who saw Florida slip from his grasp Tuesday after McCain rolled up the support of that state's two top elected Republicans, Gov. Charlie Crist and Sen. Mel Martinez.

I read David Boaz's primer on it years ago, he makes a compelling argument.

Yes, I saw this earlier. I actually like Arnold. He has been a good Republican governor and would make a good president.

I actually knew him personally back then, in '85-'87. I'll tell you about it offline.

Dear gods.. why dont they just dig him up.. beat him off and put him back... all this mutual masterbation is getting to me.
*chuckles*

I have nothing against the guy.. but my Gods he is like the new Republican version of Russias Stalin... are they gonna just trot him out every time they want to make a point on "the good old days"

Yeah it sucks... we let it suck.. no body had balls enough to put the brakes on. Those who bitched and tried got smacked down so hard thier ancestors ached, no body tried again. Don't harken back to the Good old times.. tell me how you entend on fixing the BS we are in now.

slaveboyforyou -> RE: Is anyone watching the Republican debate? (1/30/2008 9:05:42 PM)

I already voted yesterday in early elections.  I didn't need to watch it.  I put in my protest vote, and voted for Ron Paul.  He is not going to win of course, and it's looking like it will be McCain in the general election.  I am guessing he will be up against Hillary.  If it comes down to that, I will be voting for McCain.  He is the lesser of two evils.

brainiacsub -> RE: Is anyone watching the Republican debate? (1/30/2008 9:09:53 PM)

Have you heard Lewis Black's Back on Broadway stand up routine? It is hilarious. He says the way to combat terrorism is to show them how crazy we are by electing a dead president. He thinks we should bring back Ronald Reagan.
