laugh I like this thread. Romance manifests in many ways. Personally, silly things like opening a door or keeping a hand on the small of my back are just as romantic as cards and poetry. It's true, not all women like roses and chocolate (I do), some just find the day to day things romantic enough. I am of the mind that everyone is romantic, no matter what protests I may hear to the contrary. Some just don't know how to show it and some don't know how to accept it. ~Fledgling

I respond to getting slapped in the ass as I walk by, I respond when he creates a sceene that emulates something I mentioned in a conversation months before, hell I respond very well when presented with a CD that I've not gotten around to buying myself but covetted. I also show romance by listening, by noticing and by doing my best to give him what he needs at the moment, and sure, I'll surprise him with an occasional gift of something that I know he wants but hasn't bought for himself yet. But to buy a dozen roses just because our society says that it's appropriate on one day on the calender, that's not true romance, that's a cop out. So now y'all can go cancel those orders for roses and chocholate for me, wasn't that romantic of me ;)

Love and romance may be Vanilla... but to the person who is serious about having a life partner... what is wrong with a little bit? (I gotta share this: When I initially read the post, I thought it said Romance with a Democrat... ROFLMAO) anyway... I believe that all of us are different and that is why we "search" for the connection with a Dom or sub whatever your preference... thank God we all are different! I am too dorky and silly to have someone who is serious all the freaking time... and thank God the thread really wasn't about Romance with a Democrat... [:D]
