Well, I'm here. I'm a lesbian. I a submissive/slave/Hers/very happy/taken and all that. :)

The male submissives would disagree with you about there being enough straight Dommes by the way.

That all said, I know of a couple channels on an IRC network which shall remain nameless cause the system won't let us type irc dot bondage dot com here where you can find some lesbian submissives, bottoms, wannabes, and posers.

More of the last three, but there are a few "real" here, there, and about.

i agree. i put up photos of my girlfriend in my myspace profile, my avatar and such, and even though i clearly state that i'm a guy and those are photos of my gf, i still get bombarded by messages by lots of guys who apparently dont read anything on a web page. i can see how that would be just as annoying for a lesbian but even worse because she would also get messages from guys who do actually read the page.

my girlfriend has been with other girls but i dont know if you could classify her as bi or anything because of that. and i have to admit, that is part of what attracted me to her so i guess i'm in the same category as all those non reading message bombarding guys. and she is submissive to men and women.

I'm here. Definitely lesbian and exploring my sub/slave side. I am disappointed there aren't more lesbians here, but maybe if those of us that are here stick around more will come (no pun intended).
I have had no problems in my local BDSM scene, but rather found it to me very welcoming. Of course I am lucky in having a Master and Mistress who take very good care of me.
Although I am lesbian I must say that I have more straight friends than gay. I cherish my straight friends.

Hope to chat with some of you more.

I love to read, but I have to say I get a bit tired of reading about cockanballs... not that there's anything wrong with them. It's kinda like me skimming through a sports magazine in search of a hoped-for glimpse of Bambi.... that's my best analogy when it's time to dash, anyhow...

They're probably around,all over the place. Maybe it pays to keep a low profile,in case you get bobarded with mail from males. That seems to happen a lot.

I can only answer for myself Lady Winter, the reason I dont often utilize forums and message boards is the fact that as a lesbian growing up in a society where the odds are against one, I have felt the pressure to speak and have my say for year and years. Basically I am sick to death of having an opinion and resigned from needing to be heard...... I know in the lesbian chat rooms I go to there is little in depth discussion most trival rubbish, I guess as an escape from the harsh reality..... but gain more feedback and see what arises from the answers. Thanks for inquiring..

As a lesbian sub, I know what you are talking about. The subset of lesbian Domme/sub is quite small but quite a few younger lesbian women are actually looking for lesbian Dommes. Howeveer, I think they are mostly real time, not online.

Status: offline 		Speaking as a long time Domme in a Lesiban relationship with My beloved slave, I will say that part of the reason Lesbian submissives are so hard to find (or Lesbian Dommes who are 'out') is because of the hassling we sometimes get from straight males, Top, bottom, switch etc, in and out of the scene. "Can I watch? "I wanna see you tow go at it!" "WOW Hot Lesbo Domination!" To quote Mad Magazine's Alfred e. Neumann: "Yeccch!"

So most identify as bisexual. That ameliorates the yammer somewhat. Or they stay quiet about it.

I find it interesting that most straight males tend to be completely wound around the axle about gay males, but totally horndog-avid about two *Women* together.

The signal-to-noise ratio goes through the roof.

But i come across many that say bisexual. lesbian BDSM groups are harder to come by but i know a few. and i do read the heterosexual posts and sometimes reply if i have expereince in the situations being discussed.

and LdyWinter, it is wonderful to see You back in the life. i have not seen You or talked with You in 2 years. maybe that will change.

Status: offline 		OK yes I'm a guy and you may ask why I am in this thread. I'll answer in two ways here the first general and then a little more specificly.

1. Several have hit one nail, that being the idea that too many het men hassel lesbians with inane crap, thus making it even less "safe" for lesbians to participate here. (not physicly but mentally and emoionally safe).

2. The gay male community is even less represented from what I can see.

3. The tone of the site is very much het oriented here much like many of the "pan sexual" RT groups where Hets are in the majority with a few lesbians and many a few token gay men. Cultural norms (statistical norm definition used here) set by the "average user of the site" are pretty much those of the het community, with little respect or knowledge of the "Leather" culture's protocols.

Now as for why I am here, I am the Leather Daddy of a lesbian boi who is not on the site and I really have to read as many lesbian related threads as possible to provide my end of the Daddy/ boi relationship with the knowledge I need to have.

Hopefully in the future I can pick the brains of some of the other lesbian Daddies, have held back a bit to avoid looking like one of those Het males who thinks they can convert lesbians just given the chance. LOL

I guess it's all along the same lines as...why are there so many more dominant men of ANY orientation than women? I agree with what was said before I think it exists much more in real-time and less on the internet. Men can't come into my bedroom and say things like "hey girl where do you live, lets meet". Oh well theres always a delete button...

i wish i had been born female so i could be a lesbian. if i were female, i would still be the same as i don't care for men and the way they do things. no, i'm not looking to change that now, too late for that. just wishful thinking.

Status: offline 		i'm wondering if the lesibans might have a better time in the bdsm community if they weren't so harsh to the bisexual women. now, this is probably just my experience, but as a bisexual women, i have caught more crap from lesbians than anyone else. and it makes me sad, because i would gladdly take on a lesbian slave, but the ones i have taked to can wrap their minds around putting their tongues where a penis might once have been. again, probably just my experience.

Status: offline 		Something I hadn't mentioned, because it hadn't popped into my little head until now, but none of the dominant lesbians that we know ever go online looking for womyn. Of course, we live 10 minutes south of 'the gay capitol of the midwest', so perhaps they don't need to, with all the submissive fishies swimming around in this 'sea'. The 'Dommes' here are our local doctors, nurses, dentists, activists, restaurant/lounge owners, counselors, professors, coworkers, mechanics... you name it, they are EVERYwhere... as are more submissive womyn. I have to look to the best 'examples' I know intimately, and we are simply content and busy. The rest we know are usually also in LTR, and just aren't out there looking, (one hopes). If we did a proper (anonymous) random sampling, as my stats professor would say, we might be surprised by the results. They are EVERYwhere! Online, from what I've seen, both dominant and submissive womyn tended to hang out in chats, bdsm and w4w, because there was a bigger 'pool', tended not to be partnered, were looking for something other than comraderie and learning, etc., so maybe that helps to explain the relative quietness in forums.
This one certainly isn't quiet, though, is she? Remember though, if you want her to be, just say, "Hush, Jewel." That usually works, coming from anyone, really. Hey, and maybe I'll get more housework done in a more timely manner, and have an even more pleased mistress on my... hands... here.

Your thoughts are interesting on the topics of Lesbians/Dyke and message boards chat rooms and such....Over the year as a lesbian slave i have noticed that there have been a number of different groups (RL) Message Boards chat room and even a whole site dedicated to gays and lesbians.. strangly enough what has happened in all three or more of these venues.. People have started them so that lesbains would have a place to go, visit learn socialize ....... and invarably they close. i find that some just arent comfortable in perdominantly hetrosexual groups, clubs chat room ect.... but when one is open for them they fail to support it.

Given that i personally am here to make connections with like minded folk gender and sexuality is not an issue for me. i am finding that the pansexual community (again perdominantly straight folks) has been very welcoming.. Yes i have had a few that were not very respectful and to those folks i just dont bother.. My goal is connection support and education, i see no value in sunning a great number of wonderful folks just based on their sexual preferance.... As for long term relationship well, i opt to be with a woman, on the other hand if the chemistry was right i wouldbe open to service a man as well...hmmm i know all that can be confusingfor some.

As for play spaces, i can tell you that there are times when an all womens party is nice but i also feel comfortable playing in open spaces were each respects the other.

So why arent there more lesbian on our lists, boards, chat rooms.. i dont know i have some guesses but i cant say for sure....but i am here and i am sure there are others. .some where...

I have a couple of lesbian friends, and I told them about this thread.

Their comments were interesting and I thought you might like to hear them.

They have no problems going to mixed venues, nor with men in general. They are attractive, and yes they attract a lot of male attention, however this is dealt with by either themselves or the organisers of the event quietly and without fuss.

There was a local lesbian group set up for them in their general area, and they attended a few times. They were derided because they dislike the constant degradation of men that occured there. They were derided because they didnt want to play with others. They told me the bitchiness and in-fighting made it a very hostile environment. Oh and like me they detest spelling women WOMYN. As far as they and I are concerned, the normal rules still apply to you even if you are a lesbian, gay, ancient sumerian warrior returned to earth.

Thats their personal experiences, and now they are quite down on any women's only group.
