If I had a better education I would have followed the instructions on the package... but I can't read worth a damn.

I made four dozen of these scones which took me ages, they were perfectly formed, just the right colour and the best I have made to date - until people bought them and tried eating them. My ex hubby had placed a bag of salt on the counter, I had come along and not thinking clearly had inadvertently shoved it in the sugar caddy! The scones were inedible and I was never asked to bake anything again. Like your pancakes, not even the birds would touch them and I wonder if all the salt has preserved them, and they remain sitting on a dump site somewhere... can likely see it from a satellite in space!

By the way, you articulate your thoughts/views extremely well.
