Unless he thought he might get their vote its certain Winston would not want to meet them. He was an old fashioned unreconstructed aristocrat. Anyone brought up in Blenheim Palace and schooled at Harrow cant possibly be "normal" . They talk "funny" for a start. He could write very fluently tho', I'll give 'im that.
