Women aren't born to be bitches any more than men are born to be assholes. Men compete with each other as well, especially in sports and not all of them are happy to lose. As for competition for the opposite sex, many men have gotten into fights over women. It's society that pits women against each other with unrealistic expectations on how women are supposed to look (magazine covers, models that starve themselves, etc). Then there are home wreckers, both men and women that get some kind of sick pleasure out of splitting up relationships because they weren't raised with good values. Some women are bitches, just as some men are assholes. It's not gender specific.

it takes a a lot for some people to see how they really are and how their behavior affects the people they come in contact with. It also takes a lot of that person to actually care what they do to others and how others are affected.
There hasn't been a word that has been invented yet, that will convince these people that what they are doing may be wrong. If they admitted they were wrong, that means that they are not perfect and not miles above anyone else.

It would be too much to handle for them. So no amount of reasoning, or put downs or devine intervention is ever going to change a person who is so intimadated and fearful by everyone that they have to make everyone feel so small so that they can appear big.

Well, I wouldn't say that was a voice of reason persay, because it's again one sided from my POV.
But I do agree with you in the sense - only from a different side.

Red and I have bantered and disagreed many times in the past. Shes called me on shit and visa versa. And I will add, that Darcy and I have had nothing but postive feedback and support from her(people familier with threads will understand why I made that point). I love her to bits.
I have also had disagreements with kitten in the past - again, I think personally she rocks even when our political etc differ and we disagree on some subjects.

In either case, neither have shown any so called 'bitchiness' to me on a personal level, even when we have disagreed. But know what I do see? Instigators. The ones who laugh and provoke from the side lines and then go - awwww.... actually, I didn't mean it to come across like that, lets hug and make up. So you know who causes the problems, not the people like red or kitten who tell it like it is and can have a reasonable conversation left to their own devices - even with a few pointed remarks - it's the ones with the stupid little taglines making claim to some infamous fraternity so they look like they belong at least to something, who provoke and use their self proclaimed 'quirky humour' to unsettle individuals so they eventually bite back.

...and those are the people I rarely even bother responding to.

Most on here can agree to disagree. Knowing they can be bitchy. Some cant seem to want to stop defending themselves feeling attacked. It goes back and forth and Mod 11 gets involved. What I dont understand is if one persons post is pulled and they are moderated, why not the other? Why is one persons post pulled for their "bitchiness", and yet the other is using terms like "Big Mouth Submissves" and giving the finger icons and those are left alone? Does that reek of favoritism to you? Wouldnt it be best if both sides of the mud slinging are dealt with?

I assume you are talking about me. I see you respond to posters like Slaveluci to leave it alone when I have called her on her meaness. I have attempted to defend when I have seen mean things being said and them not being allowed to defend themselves. Not just Red but others too. This has toned down on my part the last couple of days. i have had no words with kittensol. But really,My issue has been with Moderating that is dealing with one side but not the other. If you look at posts that have been left alone and acceptable to the Moderator while the others pulled and the offender being moderated, these are what irks me. So no humor with this response. You call it being an instigator. Others see me and my intentions differently.

One more thing. I havent made comments and walked away. I was in private trying not only to write to another and thank them for them for a few nice things said to me, but also taking my grievances privately through e-mail to the "boss". Pointing out how letting some posts stand and not others is wrong. It doesnt do any good though.

By the way, the tag line "Collar Me Womens Auxillary" was a joke instigated by a male poster. Anyone whos hijacked a thread is part of the "group". Male or female. Feel free to make it your own. It is a heck of alot better and more self affirming than having someone be allowed to call some of us "Big Mouth Submissives Club", Which by the way, Kittensol coined that mean term first. The Collar Me Womens Auxillary was a defense and nicer term than hers.

It is women who take the money, they are the biggest gainers from crappy fashion magazines. It is women that feed the fashion industry, I don't know any men that care about it, though there are obviously a few. It's women that put pressure on themselves and each other but how come when there is something negative to say about women it is always society's fault but when there is something negative to say about men, it is simply men's fault?

Don't get me wrong, I like women, especially if they take the cab home in the morning without too much fuss.

OK - for one - if I was calling you out as an individual, I would, make absolutely no doubt about that.
But I don't see you as an individual and that is the key here. I see sheep and nothing more. You can view that as an insult, I can see and read how it can look as though that is exactly what I am doing, however it is not meant as an insult, but an observation. You have read enough posts by me by now to realise if I decide to call bullshit I would.

Two - I have never ever defended nor posted in response to any of luci's posts - I think I have done, maybe once in the beginning when she started posting here. In fact, I rarely even post in response to her posts or any others made to her or about her, simply because I feel I have nothing to contribute in particular to the remarks she makes - whether I agree or not. So for you to make that accusation is entirely wrong. The one single instance I remember mentioning to swts to not fall for your provoking stance is the only instance I can think of. So if that is the instance you are indicating, which was a recent event, I am quite comfortable to mention that issue.

Three - has red ever asked you to defend her? Do you really show her that much disrespect that you believe she actually needs defending? I don;t try and defend red, she doesn;t need defending, nor does kitten, nor does anyfuckingbody - what I am saying is that I can have perfectly decent and mature conversations with anyone, including both these posters because when I do, I ignore the background noise.
You have come down on me for being too harsh to a newbie poster, yet I see you do it time and again. I have seen you come down on someone for being too sarcastic time and again, and yet you do it consistantly. The one difference between sheep and individuals is that the individuals are comfortable to call shit and accept the consequences and admit openly they do it - sheep bleet on and on and on saying I didn't poop shit or any more shit than the shit that is already shitted.

As for how others view your posting doesn't bother me one iota. People go on and on about how they get 'supportive emails' or that there or others who 'get' them. I really don't give a shit who is on who's side or what side or any side. I know what I see from my side and that is all that matters, so you can proclaim to your hearts content how popular your ideas are with others. With me, they are old and worn and been seen all before.

Moderators are neutral. They don't look at individuals, they look at individual cases. I have been pulled up many times and I am not embarressed to admit it. I also report posts, not shy to admit that too. If you don;t like the way CM is moderated, then why do you bother posting? Why bother participating in an unfair environment that you see? Your defense is biased. Sheep follow sheep. And there is nothing wrong with being a sheep, they can be cute and fluffy and warm and cuddly, just as long as they remember they also stink of shit from time to time.

This, by the very fact people are still posting about it, is perpetuating the problem. Someone needs to say "enough".

This forum used to have a lot of fun going on. Hijacks happened, yes, but it was usually done in a spirit of humour. Not so anymore. I hate this tension and I'm pretty sure others do too.

Who's going to be the big person and let it go and ACTUALLY LET IT GO? No replies, no cut and paste, no referring to other posters in a nasty way. It's time to leave it, agree to disagree, block who you hate, and move on.

I want the old forum back with all it's insanity and fun and sharing!!

You can think what you will about me. It doesnt bother me. I don't find the word 'bitch' at all negative. I understand kittinsol did use it as a thought provoker as she admited, but I see it used in positive instances all the time, particularly in wiitwd. I don't see the forums being particular bad at the current time. It's always had it's moments - usually (and this is just an observation) when there has been a 'loss' somewhere along the line - a couple of regular stronger posters 'disappear' (even for a while) and those are usually dominant males. It's one of those strange 'quirks' I have noticed anyway, but that's just me hey. I have come and gone from the forums and it never changes, but sometimes, people always like to look back on the good ole days. Nostalgia can rock, if it didn't then 50's Lifestyle wouldn;t be so popular.

This statement shows how wise you really are. it also shows why I have always had respect for your point of view.

One thing I disagree with in your views...Some posts back you said something to the effect of"this is why my best friends are male". I'm paraphrasing. I find my women friends to be like family. We have argued ,disagreed and have forgiven things in each other that many would find unforgivable. The forgiveness solidifies the bonds. I have girlfriends I have known since birth(through parents) or grammar school days. Strange bonds indeed.

Men and a few women dont understand these strong bonds that women can have whith each other. Women Feel so deeply and emotionally. Their love for each other is strong and so are all the feelings that are brought forth in us through others words and opinions.

I don't know whether the way this thread has turned out is sad, or funny. I think we can all go back and see exactly where it started.

When I mentioned about why my friends are (mostly) male - I was remarking to kittin that her thread had me contemplate if I unconsciously avoided females. There was no indication as to why males make up the majority of my friendships to the effect of - "this is why my best friends are male". Since her thread threw up that though in my head, I have been thinking it through and realised it is not me that has unconsiously made male friends, but that female friends have not had the ability to argue, disagree or forgive - whereas the males in my life do. So - the females I meet leave my life and the males choose to stay.

So for me, it has always been that men are a hell of a lot more forgiving and understanding. They tend to say to me 'hey, that's your shit hey, not mine - lets go have a pint anyway'. So they understand, they don't feel however that they have to relate. I find it inaccurate to say that men cannot understand as deeply or as emotionally as women do when they are together - because they do - they just choose to express it in a different way. I don't love because I am a woman, I don't have empathy because I am a woman, I have all these things and feelings because I am me. If you(generic) are teaching your children that because sexes are different they don't understand the other, then that is why society is like it is today - because the myth is perpetuated. I have seen men love. I have seen their passion and their empathy, and it pretty much rocks. It's expressed differently, but it is no less beautiful and defined. But I don't look at their sex, nor their orientation - I look at the person first - because that to me is way more important than what hormones are dictating their mood.
