Closing the Door

We spoke and realized
we had nothing left
to say.
The door is closed
on friendship
on our relationship
on a time in both our lives
that was special
for what it was.
She wishes him to be happy
and he does the same for her
and she has to do what is best
for her
to keep him from taking
up too much space
in her mind.
She doesn't want to be angry
or sad or resentful
for anything that
transpired between them
she just wants him to know
that he is not welcome
in her life
as her Master
or as a friend.
But as a special
memory
that she will
cherish.
she hopes he finds
happiness
and learns
something from all of
this
about women
and how they
deserve to be treated
as opposed to how
he treats them
just as she has learned
a lot about
trust
and love
and relationships.
Maybe a new Dom
will enter her life
someday
but perhaps that
door is closed as well.
But she does know
that sometimes when
a door is closed
somewhere
a window is open
for new
experiences
and new friendships
to emerge.
So with a fond
farewell
she says
goodbye to him
and now
she can
embrace
her freedom
so with a deep breath
and her fingers crossed
she faces
a brand new world
and a chance
to perhaps
even love
again.

i understand you very well...been there done that....
the japanese have the same word for dissadvantage and apportunety
you will find your way again

Hi Subbella. I lost my MADAM, and do understand some of what your going through, though it wasn't as close and personal as yours. I am glad my wife (of 30 years) is always here with me, not matter what, and hope that you too can find someone, who you can also depend on. Take care and Good Luck, BalletBob

Ballet Bob -- my heart goes out to you. Life goes on, and changes may be painful, but I have accepted that what we once shared cannot be revisited. We both have changed too much, and unfortunately, we have discovered that our needs and desires are quite different now. I will miss him and the memories, but there are new adventures awaiting, and new alliances to be formed. I hope that you will look inside yourself and be happy!
