I was wondering how many Dom/mes set their slaves up to fail games. Now, I DON’T mean fail in a general sense, as that would be counter productive to any kind of training. I mean during session or just messing around and setting them up to fail a particular game or task. I have always found this rather interesting and amusing esp when the slave knows they are being set up to fail, but still try to succeed anyway. The goal of this, how I see it, is either to be amused by their efforts and get a great laugh out of their attempts to succeed in vain, and sometimes it sets them up for “punishment”. Of course, not the serious kind ;) For example, I sometimes like to have My boys stroking themselves while I am doing something rather uninterested, and wont let them stop, but still instruct them not to cum. Despite their efforts, sooner or later, they are going to cum if they can not stop stroking. You can usually see it coming, as they tend to “buck up” quite a bit before it happens. Or I have been known to tell My slaves to keep quiet while I know that My main goal is to make them say something, from what I am doing to them, and I wont stop until they fail. I do lots of this type of thing, but those are the first two examples that came to My head. So, how many others do things like this?

It would be interesting to do to see just how hard a sub tries to suceed and please you. As long as you don't always set them up to fail, I think I'd enjoy that once in a while.

Not really my cup of tea here. Though I have set up situations where sooner or later they will fail, as a sort of endurance test. They know this straight up from the get go, where I am simply testing how long and hard they will work at it. So, the more time that passes they are actually not failing. They are always rewarded in the end and feel all good and proud of themselves. In some regards this sounds a bit like what you are doing. However, my goals were not for amusement alone or set them up for punishment. It was more about testing their own will power and had very little do with sex. Seeing how long somebody could stand on one leg type of stuff, perhaps rigged with a bucket of cold ice water. They already know they are gonna get the ice water, it's just a matter of time. They mentally prepar for it to happen. This type of activitity is not only for my own amuzement but it's also a lesson where they get to explore themselves, their limits and what they are capable of doing. It actually helps shape and make them stronger human beings. I think some Dom miss the value and picture of what can be done, beside just twisted amusement. Simply having somebody masterbate with the instruction not to cum, well frankly just bores me to death. If anything I love to test how long they can keep it while cumming or after they cum. Don't stop, Don't stop! Yes, I get off on that one now! I love seeing the after effects and hearing them beg for it to STOP.. please please please... no more! LOL So really, they don't fail.

I don't like it because I want to please and if you're set up to fail then you feel you aren't pleasing. I suppose if I understood it was just to generate a faux punishment for his pleasure and you hadn't really displeased then it's fine.

One thing I want to point out after reading all this is that I ALWAYS make sure they know after wards that I set it up like that. I make sure of it, I dont want them thinking the acutally failed, making sure they know that I would not have stopped what I was doing UNTIL they failed. I had one boy for a few years and he was very hard to make cry. So one night I went to his place and just completely went cold and sadistic and was really hard on him. At the end of it, he was tied to the bed, all his senses cut off and I was doing some really hard cbt on him. I knew that sooner or later, he would HAVE to beg out or cry. So I kept going until he did. After he was really upset, cuz he never did that before in a couple years of serving Me and thought I was disappointed that he could not take more. And I mean, this boy could take A LOT, he was one of only two slaves I have ever had that could really take what I can dish out. So it had nothing to do with how much he could take. I was able to explain to him that I knew he was going to react like that, and that was what I was looking for. This, coupled with the very rare sighting of affection from Me made him very proud of what he endured. Point being, I would NEVER leave the slave to think they did fail or that they could have possibly succeeded, at the time its a fun mindfuck, but I dont want them feeling bad about it after. And just for the record, I dont think I could ever get sick of watching someone under Me masturbate![:D]

I'm glad that you qualified it because I, too, only enjoy this when everyone knows well in advance that this is just a fun game of endurance and that no real penalties will be assessed when they "fail." I love seeing them struggle so hard to be so good knowing that I've set them up for it. Specifics? I suppose predicament bondage, telling them to choose one thing over another, or giving them some impossibly huge project in a short time frame. It takes a particular mindset, like degradation, of being able to be broken down and still stand up at the end of the day.

ETA: this is a fast reply If it's a game-- it's fun. If he gives me a task and tells me that he's going to inspect later, I have fun trying to out think him so that he can't find a single flaw. When he has to really nit-pick to find any, I feel that I've won and besides, I like the punishment he perscribes for these games.

Hmm, one of my favorite games to play, mainly cause it works well with parts of my persoanlity. I like to refer to it as "Aw, shucks.." play or frustration play ( "What, you mean didn't manage to scrub the bathrrom floor with a toothbrush in only 10 minutes? Aw, shucks, well you know that means, doncha?" works best if you can actually do the redneck mindset). However, I use the same qualifiers as ItalianMistress. The task is A) totally obvious that it cannot be completed and B) no real reprecussions.
