I've got a family member with clinical depression as well as a sub. I make sure both keep their therapy appointments and reinforce the fact that they can talk about what they're feeling without being ashamed or feeling they're not entitled to speak about what's going on. When You make that bond with someone, You can sense something's not right and many times You are the One they'll look to for that support based on the trust that's been established. At times, it may seem difficult, but no kind act goes unnoticed. My bond with both of them is very strong because of this. XO

No..I think he withdrew it because he thinks taking away the added stress of the D/s dynamic might help aliviate some of the problems. But to tell the truth I think all its done is make it worse. Like its one more thing Ive failed at.

I completely understand that. That's one of the reasons Valyraen and I have decided to not switch back from d/s to vanilla.

*hugs* My very best to you, I hope things work out.

You don't. You send them to see a professional. Amateuring a depression is a very risky thing (for her) , it is, in my book, very irresponsible to try do the amateur psychologist thing (and I have quite a bit of experience with this). I go quite far - if the sub is unwilling to try treatment, she is out the door.
