a very special Someone I have been waiting years to be with is finally here .. I knew lovng Him would be hard and that the army would mean He was often far away from me, but nerv for a second did I think it would be this hard ... I can hear him breathing next door as He sleeps .... and am counting the minutes until I am allowed to wake Him

He arrived exhuasted a 3 am, that was almost 5 hours ago .... one hour of being held blissfully in His arms, 3 hours of holding Him as He sleeps safely for the first time in almost two years ... and one hour of pacing to stop myself from waking Him before He is rested.

Three days and then He is gone again, and I go back to how I was before

I can understand your feelings, but speaking as someone who is deployed with someone special waiting for me to get home, having that someone makes the situation we are in more than doable.
Hope you get to see and be back with him soon.

You will never be the way You were.Already his Touch has left his mark on your soul. Speaking as one who was away deployed for years...You need to understand just How much You've left your Mark on him too..Its going to be hard, but the courage you both show now will make you both stronger

Softness,
Reading your post brought back memories of when I was away for what seemed like an eternity. As Huntertn said, feel confident that you have left a mark deep within him as well. That knowledge made it possible for me to get through my time and do what I had to do to survive those months. I did what I needed to do physically to survive that time. The things most worthwhile are the most difficult to endure.
