Also, one can enjoy doing a job and do it for personal satisfaction as well as a way to earn a living. If tributes really bother you, avoid people who require them.

It really is that simple.

Also, read the entire profile of the dom. Make sure it doesn't give any references to "generous" submissives, "monetary" "tributes/payment/gifts", or "professionals".

This sort of "cry of help" is a good example of how people sometimes manage to "shoot themselves in the foot" by showing a complete inability to see another person's point of view. (Not a pretty trait in either a potential dominant or submissive)

Obviously, the "intent" was to create a situation where noncommercial dominant women would rush forward to prove the contention was incorrect... and so serve as a browsing ground for the poster... and saving him the labour of really searching for a partner.

Instead he's created a situation where it's not unreasonable to feel that he's insulted just the population from which he wants to feed.

Just a suggestion folks: Before you hit the [OK] box, try to clear your mind and put yourself in the place of the person or population you are trying to reach. If you were them, how would you react.

John, thank you for answering this seemingly age old complaint...others (including myself I might add). I can't helop but feel out of 155+ female dominants that I pulled on my first search, there are some that are non-professional. I tend to feel like LA, and want to bite instead of comfort them.

Oh by the way, Dan, welcome to the boards...and wow,the Mods seem to have already caught your faux pais.... ( I told everyone I was going to start to learn French, smiles, I just hope I spelled it right )

I know of nothing in the UK, but can tell you as a dominant lady in the US, I find nothing more insulting than a man offering me money or gift tribute, on initial communication.

Not "all" women are Pros or seeking monetary gain. Try not to judge all women by the few (or how many multiple) contacts you may have had. Generalizing to "all" women, in the UK, is not fair to them, and I would bet is not a fair assessment of the UK scene.

Well having been in the scene in the UK for many many years, I have lots of Domme friends who are not professionals and dom for thier own personal satisfaction. Maybe its the places or functions you go to that you can't can't find what your looking for.

Well Kev - I would say that from his post, (re - mentioning just chatting) I would say that possibly he doesnt get to functions etc - (but then, thats just my assumption)
Coming from the UK, I agree with you - I know Female Dominants, I probably have known more available ones than there are available male dominants! I think maybe the OP jut needs to get out more?

I have to agree with this but also add the following.

I feel placed in a box when I'm offered a gift of someone sort (generally flowers for some bloody reason) by someone who is meeting me for the first time. They don't know me (or they'd know no bloody flowers) and thus the offering is generic, designed to please some "woman".

I'm not "some woman".

Of course that tended to happen only at public events, like a munch or something because I talk (and talk and talk and talk) and have this entire huge process to go through before I'll meet someone. At that point, if they brought me a gift I'd be surprised and if it were flowers, I'd just get up and leave.

However, the question has happened. After we'd met at a workshop and a munch, my current slave and I talked (and talk and talk and talk) online and on the phone. We set up a meeting at a restaurant and he asked if he should bring a gift or tribute cause he'd seen it online. We merely explained I didn't expect that and he didn't do more than buy the meal.

I'm rambling again....

Anyway I'd say that if I'm asked if I require a gift or tribute, I don't feel insulted.

If you are asked to bring a gift or tribute, at that point you have to make the call about whether or not that something you want to do. It isn't necessary, it isn't standard, and so really think of it as more information from which to make your opinion about that potential partner.

"Chatting" is a really broad term.

Are you engaging them in conversation to get to know them as a whole person?

Or are you attempting to get them to engage in little more than cybersex with you? Are you asking about their sex lives when you have no business doing so? Are you trying to get them to tell you about what they do to their subs?

In short, are you trying to get them to participate in providing you with interactive wanking material?

If so, then yeah....pay up for the service you are trying to get.

You got quite a lot of vocabulary already
It's quite a sad song, but at least the poor guy offered an original gift...

-"On" should be "one", but it's generally used for "we", in oral speech.
-"surtout" is "above all"
-"À huit heures" is "At eight o'clock". It didn't translate it correctly because the accent was missing on the "A".
-"Y en a" is a short form of "Il y en a" : those four words contain the 2 strange pronouns of the french language : "y" is a place, "en" is er... anything.
Ex : "Do you have candies ?" would be "As tu des bonbons ?"
The answer could be "Oui, j'en ai" (yes, I have some)

Q : Have you ever been to XX ? (Es-tu déjà allé à XX ?)
A : Oui, j'y suis déjà allé.
You can also say "J'y vais", which means "I'm leaving". In this case "y" represents an undefined place !

I think those two little words are the most complicated things in the french language, but you'll get used to them :).


Your question was "Est-cela qu'elles appellent le charme français ?" Apparently automatic tranlators aren't perfect yet. You have something to complain about : How many lashes will your pet get for that ?
