I watch for the small signs and disregard what they are wearing. How they stand and walk. is their head up and looking forward to meet the world on an equal basis? Do they have a slump and head down when thay walk as though hoping not to be noticed. Ok so this is not always a surefire sign of submissivness it may well be a lack of self esteme. Even those who are in charge and acting like they are, how do they react when confronted by a Master with his "Master Aura" flowing about him? Finally I trust my gut feeling. Nothing is 100% accurate but it does narrow the field down somewhat. I am in total agreement with IB here. It isn't so much what she is wearing (or not wearing) that is an indication to Me. It is her mannerisms, her body language, and her general personality. Not saying ALL submissives are blatantly obvious, but I can spot some. Recently there was a girl hired as secretary where I work and there were some very obvious hints by the third day. She was very well-reserved and soft spoken. She carried herself like she had been trained to be conscious of her appearance not slouch. I noticed she called Me and two other Men in the office "Sir" and addressed the others commonly. She is very helpful in ways beyond the call of her duties at work... such as decorating My office so it didn't look like a Marine Drill Instructor's office, lol. She also has the sweetest, most polite, well-mannered personality I have ever encountered without knowing if she is vanilla or not. I am thinking she isn't, but alas, I cannot mix business and pleasure.
