No, no, I completely agree with you regarding general overfeeding and providing a too rich a diet. Pet owners, including myself, tend to overfeed their pets... killing with kindness, and the most common side effect of overfeeding is for the animal to have the runs. Not only do they run quickly around the house after having a typical bowel movement, but run twice as quickly if they have diarrhoea and the most important factor is to keep them hydrated - and not with milk. If, after a couple of days, the diarrhoea hasn't lessened then it's a trip to the vets. If it has lessened and starts in earnest again with the reintroduction of a little very lean chicken/rice, I'd still be inclined to take it to the vet and get it tested for possible contracted illnesses from its mother.
