I don't have any questions that make me feel self-conscious at all. I never said that. I was stating that it's frustrating to ask a question and be treated like a naughty and slightly stupid step-child. I've asked 1 question, asked for advice one time, and made one bad suggestion, that I can find. Maybe I have more. Further, just because I'm asking a question, doesn't mean I haven't researched other peoples answers in the past. (???) I'm not sure how asking a question that's straightforward implies anything but the question...? I actually do follow the links and read the posts. I'm not sure how the perception (that word again) came to be that I'm not reading anything else. (??? So confused, now.) I never even said anything about the thousand links. Really. I would like to think the links themselves are being offered as their answer.
Kyraofmists: You're 100% correct that calling them elitist is rude. It was intended to be rude tongue in cheek. Sorry the tongue part didn't come through. You're right. It's impossible to tell intentions from a post, most of the time. This is a fine example. I don't disagree that perception colors everything we do. (See the last line above.) No question. However, it was pretty obvious I was being sarcastic, I think. I think that some folks are understood exactly as they intend to be. I could give you an example of what I'm speaking, but that would defeat the point of not naming names....kind of a catch 22, I suppose.
Califchick: Please tell me which post so that I can correct my tone in the future. I don't want to sound anyway but inquisitive. Again with the links!! When did I say anything about links???

Ixian: Fabulous ideas. Way, way better than mine! Now, if I knew any of the answers to the FAQ's, I'd be thrilled to write it, hee hee. Any volunteers??
As for asking the first question, hey, it was my very first post as I recall. When I got the links posted by someone, I read them all. Cut me a break. I haven't asked anything like that since. However, having read the prior posts on that one, there were insights given toward my question that weren't anywhere I could find in the old ones. I'm hoping to tap into peoples experience (not to be confused with their experiences, major difference.) I read the old posts, see if there's something I can take from it. I've only asked for help with one other thing since, and got some great advice, based on the fact that I didn't see it anywhere.
Sailing Bum: Yep. You're right. Please read above paragraph, and duly note I have corrected myself without you or my man's help. (Course, I might show this to him later to see if he thinks I need to be disciplined for all of the hullabuloo I created over what ended up being a stupid idea anyway.)[:)]
Phx: (Saved you for last.) I'm hoping to find just such a friend. A sub-mentor if you will. I'm thinking running around like a dog looking for scraps will be more annoying than question (hmm...fun role play?), so I'm waiting for a relationship to develop. I'm reading the links, and looking at past discussions, etc. etc, as well as internet research. Gleaning what I can from them. We all learn differently. I'm a question asking individual, and, like I said, even if they are stupid questions, I'm gonna keep on asking until I'm satisfied. More like a dog with a bone.(ooo...part of above role play.) If it annoys you...umm...don't answer.
We newbies are annoying to you crotchety old vets, I know, but we also bring fresh perspectives, new ideas, and different outlooks. This place is so much fun because of all of the different strengths of the people involved. Now let's all hold hands and sing Kumbaya.
