greetings christine The Kurt Russel "The Thing" was the remake, and I did not care for it. The origninal "The Thing" had James Arrness as The Thing. I have a copy of it. I have never been impressed with remakes of movies. It seems the writers can't come up with an orginal idea so they go to what did work. I will correct myself, there is one remake that I and so many do like, "The House of Wax". I don't mean the recent one with Pairs Hilton, I mean the 1953 one with Vicent Price. Yes, that was a remake of the same movie done in the 1930's. The 1930's one was set in modern time while the 1953 was set in the 1890's. Barrymore played the villian in the 1930's orginal...but if you ask me...Vinney did a better job. quote:
ORIGINAL: christine1 the thing was remade? was the one with kurt russel the original or a remake?
