Status: offline 		Just a rather tongue in cheek question, wanting a good laugh on a Saturday afternoon. 
Does anyone have any ideas about who these men think they are? You know the ones I'm talking about the ones,that with one simple message ( be they sub or Dom) think you will run to them as fast as you can put your shoes on?
Do they really believe that, they (insolent and boorish) are all that and a bag of cheetos?
What are your opinions?

Status: offline 		Some do think they really are all that...for some, it is a front they put on in the hopes of garnering a response that would invite further, more serious conversation.  For some, it is desperation speaking and for others, it is loneliness crying out. 

Rather a difficult thing to determine based on one short note but when the note is longer, you can sometimes make an effort.

If you solve this problem please make it warmer in Chicago...I'm really tired of Winter.

I was just asking for opinions of others who may have had the same experience, a better understanding perhaps of why some people do what they do, and of course a good laugh from replies that are accusitory in nature.

Status: offline 		I think that some people think that everyone in the lifestyle wants a partner so badly that they will jump on the first person that offers.
And sometimes they are right.
When I first put a profile on alt I was absolutely inundated by mail from men of all shapes and sizes and backgrounds.
I met a few. Had relationships with a few. It slowly dawned on me that it was going to be as hard to find the right partner if not harder than in vanilla life.
And even if I find the right person for me it isn't necessarily going to mean I'm right for him.

Status: offline 		I think you made a very good point...a D/s relationship is much more difficult than a vanilla relationship. Although, all of us at one time or another have felt the "hunger" enough to forego the long-term for the right now. Do we regret it afterward is the question or do we learn from that experience? I too am seeking that "one". However, I've had others in my life that I've enjoyed alot. That have given me quite alot, some taught me something, some brought pleasure and others pure hell. The one thing is I always walk away with no regrets.

Oh, and whoever has the direct link to Mother Nature...a lil less rain here in Louisiana would be GREAT!!!

My best friend and I often laugh over the image of these type of men wearing a Superman outfit, hands confidently planted on their hips, saying, "Dunt-da-DAHHH!" Come and get me...I have arrived!!! (And of course, we all swoon.)

I wonder why people do send one liners. But I wonder even more if they actually sometimes get answers..... I personnaly would not bother. I see the one line and delete it.

And yes, rude answers to posts are hilarious!!! Because you're hidding behind a pc does not give you leave to be so nasty. You may take it, of course, but I find it's a lack of class...

Oh My... I'm sure to get a couple of those with this post.... lol...
