Your more than welcome to call me mycopic, but unfortanely in my experiences, it's a rare thing when someone drastically changes the initial opinion I have formed of someone based on their appearance, style, and mannerisms. I tend to be a pretty good judge of character though.

I think this is because people's appearances are external expressions of their internal selves.

Is this the only tool I use? Nope. However, it's a tool that works more than it doesn't work and I have no intentions of abandoning a perfectly good tool just so I can give everybody's "inner beauty" a chance to come out.

I have avoided a lot of situations that would have turned out to be very negative in a variety of different ways based on judgements I had formed primarily from appearance.

When the majority of people who dress like ho's stop turning out to be like ho's after I get to meet them, I will probably stop thinking to myself "Wow! She's probably a ho!" when I see someone dressed like a ho.

I wouldn't actually call you anything regarding this - I have far too much respect for you. But considering the site, I really don't give much credit to the notion of dismissing someone because a person on their friend list looks like a "ho", particularly when everyone's standards of judgement of "honess" are different. For all I know, it was a picture taken on Halloween or some other costume party and they just liked the way their smile looked.

Hell, I used to have a picture up showing a lot cleavage just because it was the only picture of Valyraen and I that looked reasonably decent. Since we were on our way to a BDSM event, it certainly wasn't chaste or modest.

I'll second that!

I'll third it.  I don't know what mirror you're looking in MM, but I think it needs adjusting

Has anyone hear been turned OFF by some of the "friends" some people have
on here?

I have a twist on the friends feature.

Sometimes it can help you get an idea of what sort of partner he is looking for.

If you approach me saying one thing, and I see you have "friends" on here that
appear to be looking skanky, sleazy, or tricked out.

Then you have just saved us both, some time!

Maybe we should all wear a BDSM uniform so the world is perfect....

Hey Bobby,

Welcome back. I see you have changed your profile. I can't say I blame you. After the huge mess of lies, inconstinencies, and cowardice you left behind on your old one, it was the smart thing to do.

Don't flatter yourself, bunnyboy.

It helped your cause to have Mod 11 threaten anyone who dares to answer such accusations, while totally ignoring collarchat's posted rules regarding said insults.

Now I simply delete her mail on sight, without bothering to read it.

Just had to learn the lay of the land, and see just how tilted it is in favour of some individuals whom Mod 11 seems to favour over others, regardless of rules broken.

Life goes on.

~FR~ to no single person......

I think I'm a fairly decent person. I'm off the wall.. left of center. .. I have tattoos that can be viewed when I do not choose to cover them (upper arms, calf, upper back).
I have been judged based solely on the fact that I have skinart showing.

Will you immediately judge me as UNWORTHY because I have tattoos?

If so, then I'm sorry. Because you have passed up a chance to kow the PERSON that I am... your judgement has denied me because what you SEE is the yardstick.
HOWEVER... as in my avatar pic.. if you saw me without my tats showing.. would you have taken the time to talk? laugh? find out that I am a PERSON? Discover I have a brain?

Guess what.. I am the same, inked or not. I am the same if I have a singlewide trailer that is shoddy, the same if I'm missing 15 teeth.

just saying.

For what it's worth, I think you're pretty nifty. You seem to have a good heart, and a personality that glows.

Apologies for quoting both these in their entirety, I felt they needed highlighting - again. Guilty as charged, in the past I have judged people based on appearance, the friends they have hung around with (I'm referring to offline) and their personal lifestyle choices. As a result of my veiled snobbism (let's be honest, that's exactly what it is) and have no doubt I have missed out on getting to know some great people. What cured it? A reversal - I overheard someone referring to me as 'that girl that's rather up herself - she's not very pleasant, is she?'. I have to admit that it upset me. I had no idea I had such an attitude and once I had taken that on board, I had to agree with the women that were chatting about me - my attitude towards others stank. I'm not out on a crusade to have everyone I encounter like me, it would be nice but before that happens people have to like who they are first and foremost. Quite often people bully their way through life and excuse their shitty behaviour as having 'attitood', however, I tend to think that attitude towards others is, in reality, a transference of how they see themselves.

MissM..I think we've all been guilty of doing the same to lesser or greater extent, in real. There, you have other ways to make a judgement of someone (body language, behavior, etc).  I just think it's unfair to make a snap judgement of anyone based simply on a photo.

I agree with you, Greedy. I think people that place themselves on a pedestal, looking down at us all, have only one direction to go in - and should come slum it with the rest of us

am i alone in reading energy?

does any one else read enery from photos? i can feel if some one is sick, or a criminal, if they are not mentlally stable, have money issues, partner issues,or if they have a good relationship with those they love.

i feel like it is invasive in some way to have this ability, so i try to counter ballance it with using the energy for good, as a medical intuitive, but i just wanted to ask if folks here had that type of experiance and have struggled with the invasiveness issue.

That's interesting, crouchingtigress. I know that it's possible to gain a lot of information from viewing a photograph, but have not heard of taking that intuition a step further. May I ask how long you've been able to do this for and when did you first become aware of it?

MzMia has learned how to stick to the "high road".

It is nice to see people expressing themselves, it is cathartic.

Because ultimately, people are gonna do what they want to do.
