Lots of good advice, I won't reiterate it all. My own experience is somewhere in the middle. Master and I lived diagonally opposite each other in Australia, so at least as far apart as you and this Dom! We talked on and off as friends for a few months, then things became more personal between us and we talked on the phone often. An opportunity to meet sort of half way arose and we took the chance. For various reasons, we didn't adhere to the standard "have your own room in a hotel" thing ... we had to share a room for 5 days. The main drawback of that was that he arrived with the flu! Which I developed after going home

. At that time I was Domming him ... so in some ways, he had more to worry about! But that meeting was enough to stir our hearts and the relationship developed much more rapidly afterwards ... and switched with Him now becoming Master to me. 4 months later i flew to stay with Him at His home for 11 days ... 4 months after that He flew to check out where i lived and stayed for 23 days. He decided He would rather move to me and that happened 3 months later. Essentially from the first meet to moving in took 11 months. This was in 2003 - 4. We are still together, have ended up moving back across country to near His home ... and are incredibly happy. So it can work out, BUT it does pay to be a bit cautious! If what MofGa has to say about the Dominant's profile is true, then a bit more caution would be recommended.
