i think this begs the question:  What Master would want a sub or slave so easily led away from her Master???

The point is not if the slave is weak.

It is that the poacher has no respect for either of the partners, and pulls this shit.

Micheal has said some things here that I have found to be ridiculous.Just as I have said things here that others find the same. He does not really need me sticking up for him. Having said that, the fact that BSB was married and is now with Micheal does not mean he pursued her. I do not know the facts of how they became a couple. I don't care.  I stand by my statement. If someone is truly happy you can't poach. I agree with him totally here.

Jeff

I could be wrong but I do believe they have stated that she e-mailed him.

i am getting lots of messages asking if i am owned, which is fine and i answer in the affirmative...but then they proceed to try to convince me to leave my Master for them. That or they just start off with messages of how i should just belong to them and thats it.

I copy and paste the part of my profile that states that they need to address all inquiries and offers of friendship to my Daddy, it avoids me being put in the situation in which I feel the need to have on going discourse about my relationship with strangers I do not wish to converse with.  It also reaffirms that I am taken without giving them any room to have the sort of conversations you speak of above.

quote:

i think this shows a huge amount of disrespect for my Master, and if it continues, i won't be allowed on collarme anymore. Its very frustrating, and i don't understand how people can so casually disregard ownership...if they had a slave, they wouldn't like people trying to persuade her to leave Him, would they?

any thoughts?

I think that you should change your profile to reflect that you will not be responding to those who are disrespectful to you. I would not respond in the real world to people that were disrespecting me, my relationship, or my Daddy... why respond to it on the internet? I have had quite a few send me emails that outright talk shit about how awful my Daddy is, and these used to piss me off because I did not expect such nastiness about someone I love. I was tempted to email them nasty crap back... but I know my Daddy would not be happy with me if I were to do that... so I do not.

Kana -> RE: Respect for the property of Others. (2/21/2008 8:31:12 PM)

Here is my question
Whats going on that your master doesn't trust you enough that he feels threatened by this?

I cannot imagine why else he would remove the right to be on collarme for the approaches others beyond your control make.
maybe I am being presumptous, but that sticks out at me.
If I am wrong in this forgive me for the error, but it just sounds odd.

I keep trying to run the logic of why a master would threaten the withholding of something important to his girl for something beyond her capacity to control and thats the answer I keep coming up with.

It's like blaming her for tornadoes when you live in the midwest.
Its your fault these suckers keep hitting so you cannot go out anymore.

At the same time, one should proabaly avoid coming across as high and mighty-when they see fit to pursue something that seems taken. It looks silly when you criticize others for doing asd you do.

Leatherist,

You have mail.

Leatherist -> RE: Respect for the property of Others. (2/21/2008 9:33:28 PM)

I owe Micheal and his lady an apology.

I didn't understand the real situtation, my bad for making stupid assumptions.

I criticize others for doing that, and I should really know better.

SimplyMichael -> RE: Respect for the property of Others. (2/21/2008 9:36:27 PM)

Leatherist,

Frankly, I would prefer more people called people on their shit, the world would be a better place.  In this one instance however, I AM innocent!  Thanks for the acknowledgement though as well as the classy response.

Smiles..........Again, my bad for shoddy research before popping off. I have had to deal with poachers in the past, and a few real life ones that made me no end of trouble. It's one of the reasons I no longer do my local public scene.

I'm not offering any excuses, it just gets my goat when people blame the bottom for the conduct of assholes who DO try to poach. I can see now that you are far from that sort of dishonor.

I ask this all the time, cuz I sure as fuck would not!

A few years back, I was playing casually with this Master/slave couple and the slave would call to set up the session times with Me.  After a handful of sessions, she called one day, and started telling Me that she was not happy with her Master and wanted to see if she could session with Me alone, and then told Me that if I wanted her, to let her know.  I told her that she was useless to Me now, why would I want her?  I called her Master, told him what happened, and never spoke to either of them again.  An untrustworthy or unloyal slave is worth NOTHING.

She sure did, I was just all innocent!  Actually, at one point I even blocked her because I got tired of her games and figured she was one of those guys who puts up pictures of some hot chick and pretends to be a woman.  Turns out I was wrong...

StormsSlave -> RE: Respect for the property of Others. (2/22/2008 7:28:16 AM)

Here's what I don't get.  As a sub, I voluntarily share any/all emails from other men with My Lord.  He hasn't required this, but I feel it is the right thing to do.  Further, he knows all of my passwords and log in ID's, mainly just because it makes it easier for us to function in the world by sharing (I know all of his, as well.)  I'm sure that, being the nature of M/s relationship, slaves are required to share theirs.

Since these men claim to be Doms, or masters, wouldn't they just assume that this is the case?  Are they assuming that the sub or slave in question is sneaking around?

I think if someone is poachable there isn't much a relationship worth saving.

While i think it's true that someone can't be wooed away from their current partner by another unless they are already feeling inclined to leave, poaching, in and of itself, isn't based on how solid another person's relationship is or isn't.  A poacher can go after anyone, regardless of how stable and secure the relationship of their "prey" is.  Poaching is simply illegal hunting and a poacher will hunt anyone they choose, without knowing or caring about the relationship of their object of interest.  Poachers will even go after "protected game" (as in someone who is known to be in a relationship.)  That doesn't mean that the poacher will be successful in their attempts to capture someone else's partner but, they will still try.

There are the men (and women) who will hit on another, even though they are wearing a wedding ring.  Poachers don't care.  They will hunt who and where they want and hope that they get lucky.  There was one BDSM event that i went to with the Dom i was involved with at the time and, while we were standing in the room watching a demonstration, a woman, who neither of us knew, used the walking stick she was holding to lifted up the bottom of my dress.  She didn't ask first.  She just took it upon herself to "trespass" on another's property.  Of course, the man i was with spoke to the host, who promptly dealt with the offender.  And, i don't really know what her intent was but, she was definately out of bounds.

But, as for the OP, sending someone an email isn't poaching.  And, getting emails should be expected when you have a profile on this site, even if it clearly states that you are in a relationship and not looking.  Anyone can look at your profile and choose to send you an email.  Whether you choose to read it, answer it, delete it or, whatever is up to you.

That's how i look at it, anyway.
