Ha! Ok, this might belong in random stupidity but I don't think its that stupid ...

I have a new cat and can't think of a name for him. I adopted him from the pound where they were calling him "Sylvio" which just makes me shudder ...

He's pure white and quite sweet but I don't want to go with the typical white cat names of Snowy, Snowball or Powder.

My other two cats are Siamese and female; Avalon and Mei-Mei (which means little sister) ...

Suggestions, anyone?

My girl cat is named Barney hehe. My previous kitty was named pita for pain in the ass. Maybe you can find a word for snowy, white etc in another language that you like?

But seriously.  I did a little searching.   IMO- You say he's quiet.  So I thought of silence.  And with silence could mean Tranquil. So.  One of the following.
Galen ... "Healer; tranquil." ... Pacifico ... "Calm, tranquil." ... Sereno ... "Tranquil." ... Sheehan ... "Small and tranquil."
I use the following website for names alot.

Cats' ears respond particularly well to certain sounds, especially 'i:' and 's'.

Your cat's white... white's the opposite of black on the colour spectrum... black is the colour of...

Pepsi!

I have considered being ironic and named him something like Noir or Shade.

I didn't expect to be taken so seriously ...

I'm diggin the site, Eiseria. Thanks!

Thank you for the congrats, also breathasone.

Nebbia would be perfect for a girl but I want it to be obvious he's male. People already assume otherwise because he's such a pretty white cat. (Ever notice that white animals are female and black ones are male?)

Pepsi is cute too. My favorite beverage. :)

CHANDRA (SHAHN-drah; Male): Sleepy, daydreaming felines might well respond to this name. Chandra was one title given to the moon god. Another name attributed to the moon god was Soma, named after the powerful hallucinogen/beverage of the gods. Since the moon symbolized the growing and diminishing consciousness of the dream state, it was a natural that this connection between god and beverage should be made. Still, if you ask me, Chandra makes a far better cat-name than Soma.
