And the flesh you so fancifully fry
Is not succulent, tasty or kind
Its death for no reason
And death for no reason is murder

And the calf that you carve with a smile
Is murder
And the turkey you festively slice
Is murder
Do you know how animals die ?

Kitchen aromas arent very homely
Its not comforting, cheery or kind
Its sizzling blood and the unholy stench
Of murder

Its not natural, normal or kind
The flesh you so fancifully fry
The meat in your mouth
As you savour the flavour
Of murder

The Smiths

I suppose I would be a terrible person if I admitted to assisting in butchering 4 lambs last year............

You think Morrisey likes a nice porterhouse now and then?

Not at all. Nice thing with lamb is that it cannot survive the horrible conditions that pigs or cows go through, so they're raised a little bit more naturally.

I love the taste of meat; but I'm getting sick of it. If that makes any sense.

No, I don't think so :-) . That's probably partly why he is still so fit and handsome at the age of 48. Or whatever he is now.

It makes perfect sense to me. I used to eat meat every day, sometimes 3 times a day. Now, I go days without it. Sometimes a week or more with no red meat. Just some chicken or seafood. I love it, will probably never give it up. But I will eat much less of it from now on.

Lamb, though, lamb is the best meat there is.

A woman after my own heart. Lamb is the best. Plus, it satisfies my natural cruelty. Sheep are such harmless fluffy creatures; nothing more satisfying than having a slice of slaughtered sheep on my plate.

I'm seriously considering vegetarianism again.

Soooo true...Knowing that one of these little fuckers is about to be consumed makes the price all worthwhile.

I wish there was a place in Chicago that served puppy.

One nice thing about living here is that I know where most of my meat comes from. I know the farmers and can choose animals that are fed the way I want. If I did not have that luxury I don't know if I would even like beef or pork. I almost never eat it when traveling because it tastes weird to me. No flavour.

Mmmmm...clams sauteed in white wine with butter, lemon juice and garlic and a big loaf of Italian bread to dip in the sauce.  Lobster tails broiled then drizzled with lemon and dipped in real clarified butter.

You buy grass-fed then? We have one shop about 30 miles from here that sells it.

There is one already...Membership requires a pic...A closeup of your spread open crotch....Disappointing start to the fanclub...So far only Jeffff and Ron are members. Not exactly "the members" I had in mind. Ron shaves...Is that fucked up or what?

Another meat that's nice and cruel: foie gras. I saw that California is thinking of banning the importation of foie gras, because it's produced with an such unusually cruel method. Bloody wimps!

I love foie gras: the decadent meat extraordinaire. They forcefeed the geese by sticking a tube down their throats, injecting corn into them, like this until eventually, their livers explode... And that's what you eat. The diseased liver of forcefed geese.

A fucking delight.
