MQF.....both KB and Shiloh had the whole cahoots thing down to a fine art form! There isn't a door that KB can't open, and no place high enough to hide things. KB used to get up on top of the fridge, find the goodies up there and knock them down to the floor. Shiloh would then open the package, and the two of them would chow down. I had a bag of dry cat food inside the pantry, KB shoved it out to where I'm sure Shiloh could get hold of it, and they ripped it open.......their bellies were stuffed so full, I found them sprawled out on the couch, miserable! They both ate about 10 lbs of food! I'm not sure which one of the bunch is doing it, but someone scares the fish in my tank until fish fly out the hole by the heater......I haven't seen them do it, but I'm down to a pair of everything left in my tank, and have searched all over for dead fishy bodies...haven't found a one yet. I am convinced that anytime you get more than one critter in a room, they start to plan.....watch them sometimes...you can see the little wheels turning! One other thing they seem to be good at is picking out the sucker in the room.......my mom is the biggest one in the family...every animal we have knows that if they want goodies, go get grandma! Shiloh used to sit next to her at the dinner table, or wait out in the kitchen while she was cooking, and hit her with those puppy eyes, and JACKPOT! Every dog that comes into the house knows exactly wehre the goodies are kept....my sister's rottie loves cheese, so he sits in front of the fridge...everyone else knows the bones are in the pantry, so they wait there. Before I moved to AZ, I stayed with my parents, and brought the 3 cats....Smooch is just normally slender, but my mother was convinced that I was starving him....they had a dry food feeder in their pen, but she'd give them canned food everytime she would go out in the garage. I'm lucky they didn't blow up to little oinkers! Sometimes ya gotta wonder, just who the real dumb one is! My cats live a life of luxury, and I'm out there working to support them! Just who domesticated whom?
