I like all of his works.. so that was a touch of coolness..

Yeah, I was initially skeptical about Buffy and then initially skeptical about Angel. But now I know that everything Whedon touches is golden. Too bad Firefly got cancelled. I can't wait to see what he does with his upcoming series.

I happen to agree with you..

Well alright then. (I'm not a runner either but I have a hunch getting back into the service will change that.)

*shakes her head and chuckles* You like pony play... ( I finaly broke down and perved you after reading that bit) I gotta saddle with your name on it Tex.. dont be scared.. *winks* I will be gentle... at first.

And I'm sure the saddle will look just wonderful on you. And of course we have to remember the plug-tail chastity belt. ;)

*chuckles* hang around.. stay out of trouble a bit and dont drink the kool aid.. it tastes funny. There are some way cool folks on the boards... try not to piss all of them off at once. *winks* Or the Womens Auxillary will come after ya.

Oh let's be real. I can't piss off "everyone" all at once. I may be a proud asshole (finally, talk about taking a lot of work), but I know my limitations. It'll take me....days or even weeks....to piss off "everyone."

I agree with the seat up/down thing.. just check first. If he is kind enough to put the seat down you should be kind enough to put it up.. oh get over it.. just check.

Only women use the upstairs bathroom in our house and I still check in the middle of the night. it is a bloody habit.

However I think if you cant be kind enough to aim correctly.. or clean up after yourself when there are splash ups... you should bloody well sit the hell down and pee.

and for the love of fuck wipe that damn thing off.. do not walk about town smelling like piss. Shaking does nothing but put piss on your pants and clothing.. all over the seat.. and floor. Niiice.

Some of us can smell ya know...

Hell, stick it over the sink and wash it.. with soap. Soap will not make the damn thing shrink and Die.. I swear.

same with your hands.. esp if they smell like the aforementioned ass. LOL

Gwyn,
who's bathrooms have those little pop up moist wipes so you can clean your bits...

Hygiene people.... hygiene

Can't argue at all here......damn.

I use the wipes too. I was turned onto them by Howard Stern of all people. Now I hate 'not' using them. I like to know I'm as clean as I can get, ya know?

As for the shaking.....I've actually realized, as many older men have, that you can shake all you like and still some 'hangs out and waits' in there for you to think you're done and go on your way, then it trickles out. The local radio show host I mentioned called it a sick "party trick" that's annoying as hell. I realized one day that the best way around that is to actually milk it a lil bit. It's a very handy tactic. I'm surprised I've not heard of it before.

As for scratchin' the ass.....I'm the type that can't even scratch my head or face without feeling an immediate need to wash my hands (bit of OCD) so I couldn't imagine scratchin' down there....I don't care how clean I know it is. Not happening.

In that case you will be waiting for QUITE a long time. Although if you find any ponygirls around there, feel free to send them my way.

Gwynvyd -> RE: tampons (2/25/2008 6:47:15 PM)

I had to send the last one to get a laugh. *smiles*

*sighs*

They certainly appear to be....in every capacity but on porn sites.

You stated your belief in 'the miracle of modern medicine'...twice. And that one could guarantee a 'perfect' baby with early testing. Those were the points I chose to address...b/c I know they are both fallacies...it being my line of work and all.

Ergo, I chose to refute them.

End of story.

ETA- As to the military/combat thing...believe whatever you want. Take a poll when you get back in...:)

I said (in post #50):

"I don't, actually. I find it a wonder of modern medicine and nothing more."

Which was in reply to post #49 that said:

"I'm glad you find it awe inspiring that a woman can push a baby out into the world, with all of her natural strength, and walk around a little while later. It's not uncommon either, you know."

Ergo I was referencing the act of having the child, not praising the "perfect babies" that modern medicine produces. Therefore, your replies were not relevant because I wasn't talking about modern medicine's abilities to stamp out any possibility of defect. Merely indicating that it played a role in women healing faster and requiring less care than they did 50 or 100 years ago.

Yeah, really? I've wonder why "seat down" is considered the default setting on toilets.

abytchgoddess4u -> RE: tampons (2/25/2008 9:38:01 PM)

Great Geezily Christ!

"These days the medical field is so advanced, you can know whether you have a healthy kid so early on, that any possible problem can be caught and dealt with. That's not natural. That's science."

Hopefully seeing your own words in print again will snap you out of your stupor.

Now...medicine has NOTHING to do with why women require little care after birth. It's b/c our bodies are DESIGNED to give birth! And women do not heal faster now than they did 50 or 100yrs ago. We do; however, have better diets, on the whole...leading to a lessened risk of haemmorhage and PIH.

Women in North America were actually more likely to die in hospital than at home
from any other cause 100yrs ago...from cross-contamination and infection...childbed (or puerperal) fever, it was called. It was CAUSED by doctors going from morgue to birthing room and case to case without washing their hands.

Would you like me to start quoting stats on present day iatrogenic injuries and infections?

I can if you'd like...though maternal morbidity and mortality rates are skewed in the States, b/c they only include things that are evidenced within one month of birth...the rest of the first world counts most of the first year postpartum to include incubation times. If a woman dies 31 or 32 days postpartum...doesn't count as maternal mortality in the US. Just imagine how high your countries rates would be if they were actually reported accurately!!

Please; feel free to do some research and prove me wrong...or you could just admit that you were wrong in believing 'modern medicine' is 'miraculous' in it's care of women.

Because; on the whole, it's not.

Nope, it won't. Because I don't care.

Nope, I wouldn't and I don't. Because I don't give a rat's ass. It has nothing to do with the point that was being discussed....oh about 4 or 5 pages ago. As soon as you can wrap your head around that logical point, you'll be caught up with the rest of us. You can throw stat after stat after freakin' stat at me about the pros and conds of modern medicine. I DON'T CARE. That wasn't the point of the statement I made. It wasn't the topic discussed (okay hi-jacked) nor was it relevant to the point-counterpoint discussion that we were having on the topic of women's strength or lack thereof.

If it has a lid the lid should be on/down. My reality and I am sticking to it. Plus, I read that if you flush with the lid up, a fine spray of water and whatever else is in there, is released into the air and around in a certain measured diameter I cannot remember right now. Lid DOWN!!

kittinSol -> RE: tampons (2/26/2008 7:10:46 AM)

Plus, let's face it, it's more esthetically pleasing, with the lid down. And it's a nice metaphoric reminder that sometimes, we have to keep our traps shut  too, just like the bog [:D] .

You can't put the lid down because women would pee on it and it would leak all over the floor. (Our gripe was with the seat, originally, not the lid)

If women can't look before they sit to put the seat down, they surely can't do it to lift the lid up and that will get quite messy.

Sinergy -> RE: tampons (2/26/2008 7:18:24 AM)

I put the seat down largely because it is an idiotic argument to have, I am capable of learning how to put the seat down, and I refuse to waste any more of my life having the discussion.

Average people discuss other people and toilet seat positioning, above average people discuss events, and superior people discuss ideas.

Sinergy

mnottertail -> RE: tampons (2/26/2008 7:23:25 AM)

And the enlightened have no need of inanimate toilets.

Especially when so many girls have monikers beginning porcelainxxxxxxxxx

mrmorpheuslunar -> RE: tampons (2/26/2008 7:35:27 AM)

Ohhh my.  I am at an unusual loss of words.  I find it absolutely marvelous that the ingenuity of the human race has brought about such monumental inventions such as the "instead" cup.  While I have been willing to press through menstrual flow to provide the pleasure and reward my subbies have earned, the ensuing mess has been unseemly, and well er yes, forgive my play on words, but also distasteful.

I find it wonderful that the divace has availed itself to serve our mutal needs.  I do believe the greatest advantage of our little circular flexible cup is that it does allow the female to fully chase after the heat that is bound up in her body and to race after it with all the vigor of the bound animal that it creates.  Just think of the whore moans (for the illiterate hormones) gathering and stewing and osmosing within your tiny little cavern inside as it feeds you ever more deeply.  Hotter and hotter she becomes, and in serving her master - silently she serves the heat's release.

Oh glory!
