I have no favourites, all are intensely irritating.

Not strictly CM-related (more commonly seen in emails I receive at work):
  • I could of. It's have. Ok? You could have. Not my fault you didn't.
  • Complete lack of punctuation, including capital letters, especially when referring to 'I' or 'I'm'. No, I'm not talking D/s dynamics here, I'm talking emails I get from a department manager.
  • Punctuation, but in the wrong place. Read it back. Pause at the commas. Pause longer at the full stops. Does each bit make sense?
  • Any and all of the mis-spellings already mentioned above by others.

Am I anal? Yes I am. I'm also a qualified teacher :)

oh yes.. that one makes me twitch, every time!

I'm guilty of the dropping punctuation thing, but never where the punctuation alters the meaning of the word.

Nobody is above typos and spelling mistakes. I'm prone to syntax errors, but...

Oh gawd! Recurrent mistakes fuck me off. You just reminded me of another annoying one, which I read all the time: "I could care less", for "I couldn't care less." They're writing they actually care when they're trying to say they don't (care). It's confusing.

And "prolly" for "probably".

And and and... "I resemble that remark" for "I resent that remark". They're saying they look like a remark? WTF?

Mocking mode OFF.

edit: forgot a word. Whack whack whack.

Well how do you spell prolly then? proly?  geez that don't seem so good.

I like to use the homespun typing. Stream of conciousness sort of thing. I obviously could apply myself more, but who fuckin' cares, hah?

Ah but you're a special case, Ron. You reinvent language. You're way above the errors that us, common fools that we are, make. Umberto Eco, Jacques Derrida, eat your hearts out :-) .

Maybe someone here could explain this one too me.

Gurl or grrl           instead of girl.

I get that people use shortcuts for texting and such, but there are the same amount of letters in the examples above.

This one makes sense, if you are using phone texting but it bugs the heck out of me.

wut?

Ahh... grrrl is a remnant from the "riot grrrl" neo-punk feminist movement of the early nineties.

Check it out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riot_Grrrl

I type the way I talk..thus the frequent use of things like 'wanna', 'whatcha', etc.

I refuse to use the shortcuts for short words. Two, too, to do NOT = 2 in my world.
I don't have an issue with LOL and the like..
