i visited San Francisco for 2 days while my offspring was still in high school...i came home & told her that i would be moving there, but would wait till she told me she thought she could make it on her own...2 years later, she said she could & i went for 2 more days to find a job, got 3 job offers--took the worst one, it turned out--& moved there 2 weeks later...my sister lived 70 miles away, but other than her, i knew nobody...it was the bravest thing i had done up to that point in my life...it took awhile to find a job that i loved instead of hated & i stayed there for 12 wonderful years...it was a decision i have never regretted...& i nearly repeated it a few years later when i almost moved to New Orleans...my life has been a series of adventures & i hope they never stop...go for it...go wherever...throw a dart at the map...live.....

i lived in Coos Bay Oregon for a while as a kid, i'd go back there in a second if the economy was better there.

if I could wave a magic wand it would Maui or other areas of Hawaii that are not still not overdeveloped; magic wand aside the Southwest or as another person stated, someplace where the climate warm.......75 year round is heaven to me! then again I live in Maine where it is 15 degrees without yet another snowstorm on the way tomorrow!

Lets see, in America for me, maybe Miami or Park city (Read beaches and skiing, my great passions other than women) In Europe Geneva, on the lake but I would luvluvluv to live in Asia. I am trying to negotiate a job out there in maybe a year or so. The golden beaches of Thailand anyone? Or Hong Kong or Macau.

Monterey California. Spent a year out there when in the military, studying russian with the threat that if i failed they would make me a cook. i had a very peaceful and relaxed time, despite being in the military, and the not veiled threat. Beautiful place, great scenery, and like spring all year round.

Monterey is stunning Just went there a couple weeks ago. But if I had the choice and won the lottery I would be on one of the Hawaiian Islands

The problem with Hawaii is its an 8 hour plane ride to anywhere I would go stir crazy

Nice area there. I grew up there as my grandparents lived there. Gorgeous place to live. But hated it during race weekend. LOL.... Traffic was terrible. I still go back occasionally and enjoy it. [:)]

park city is gorgeous i agree but i couldnt' live there, (it's just too local lol) it is only 10 minutes away from me though.
